An engineer’s laptop was compromised and used to push unauthorized withdrawals from hot wallets. Around $3B has been frozen on-chain, and Binance says it will cover all losses from SAFU and company funds.
The market reacted immediately: BTC dropped below $77K, and $1.36B in positions were liquidated in the hours after the disclosure.
