What is SMC & ICT? 90% of Beginners Get This Wrong! 👇
Many think SMC and ICT are two different things. They are NOT!
Let me break it down simply:
ICT = The CONCEPT ICT is the system created by Michael Huddleston. He teaches HOW the market really moves - Where is Liquidity, How Smart Money traps Retail traders. Like: Liquidity Grab, Market Structure Shift (BOS/CHoCH), Order Block, Fair Value Gap (FVG)
SMC = The APPLICATION SMC (Smart Money Concept) is just the application of ICT concepts with new names.
In short: ICT is the BOOK, SMC is you PRACTICING that book.
So what should YOU learn? If you are new, just master these 3 Core ICT concepts:
1. Liquidity - Where are the Highs/Lows? 2. Market Structure - BOS / CHoCH 3. FVG / Order Block - Where to Enter
If you know these 3, your chart will become clear.
Are you still confused about SMC? Comment "SMC" below, I will explain FVG LIVE in my next video.
2/ BOSS = Break Of Structure Price breaks previous High/Low and continues trend. In chart, you see multiple Boss = strong UPTREND.
3/ CHOK = Change Of Character First sign that trend is changing. Price fails to make new High/Low. In chart, after top, Chok appears = Bearish shift.
4/ O.B.D = Order Block Demand Last bearish candle before bullish move. Big buyers sit here. Price came to OBD 110.164, swept liquidity, and now pumping.

USDCAD: Scotiabank Sees Fair Value at 1.4068 - What's Next?
$USDCAD is currently trading around 1.41965 (+0.14%).
Scotiabank analysts are highlighting a softer Canadian Dollar trading defensively against G10 peers.
Key Takeaways: 1. Yield Spread Pressure: The widening US-Canada yield spread remains a major headwind for CAD. 2. BoC Rate Hike Bets: Market is pricing 14 bps tightening in October and 37 bps cumulative tightening by December. 3. Fair Value Target: Scotiabank's Fair Value estimate stands at 1.4068.
My Bias: Bearish below 1.42, targeting 1.4068 in the short term.

Everyone looks at 1 candle. I look at 2 candles to understand the 3rd one.
It is very simple. You only need 3 things:
1. Candle 1 Opening This is your base level. Where the fight started.
2. Candle 2 Closing This shows who won the fight. Buyers or Sellers.
3. High / Low Break (The Crack) This is the confirmation.
The Formula:
BULLISH Case: If Candle 2 closes ABOVE Candle 1's Open AND breaks Candle 1's High = The next candle shows bullish momentum. I look for Buy setups here.
BEARISH Case: If Candle 2 closes BELOW Candle 1's Open AND breaks Candle 1's Low = The next candle shows bearish momentum. I look for Sell setups here.
No Break = No Trade. This rule saves me.
I use this on 15m and 1H timeframe. It works best on BTC and XAUUSD (GOLD).
This is not financial advice. This is just price action education. Always use stop loss.
