$HYPE is here and the timing is pretty interesting. Binance finally opened HYPE spot trading on September 24, 2026, with HYPE/USDT, HYPE/USDC and HYPE/TRY. Binance also slapped the Seed Tag on it, basically saying: “This thing is hot… but don’t come crying to us when the candle turns into a roller coaster.” 😂
🚨 HYPE FINALLY MADE IT TO BINANCE!
After what felt like Binance saying:
“Hyperliquid? 🤔
Never heard of her…”
…
$HYPE is finally on Binance Spot. 😂
Hyperliquid had already built one of the biggest on-chain perpetual trading platforms in crypto. By September, it was still handling the largest share of perp DEX activity, while Aster was rapidly chasing from behind.
🐌 So why did Binance take SO LONG?
Binance hasn’t publicly given one specific reason for the delay.
But HYPE is not your typical “new token looking for a Binance listing.”
Hyperliquid is building a direct competitor to centralized exchanges — fast trading, deep liquidity and perpetual futures, but on-chain.
And Binance is… well… Binance. 😅
So there are obvious reasons for Binance to take its time with due diligence: liquidity, tokenomics, security, regulatory considerations and the overall risk profile.
In fact, Binance still gives HYPE its Seed Tag, warning that it can experience higher-than-normal volatility.
Basically:
Binance: “Welcome HYPE ❤️”
Also Binance:
“But please sign this waiver first.” 😂
🥊 HYPE vs ASTER: The DEX heavyweight fight:
This is where things get REALLY interesting.
HYPE = the established heavyweight
ASTER = the hungry challenger
Hyperliquid currently has a much larger perp DEX footprint. Recent data put Hyperliquid at around 43% of tracked perp DEX volume, while Aster was in the next tier at roughly $1B+ daily volume.
But Aster has been growing aggressively and has already shown that it can steal trading volume from Hyperliquid. (DLNews)
So the battle is basically:
🥊 HYPE: “I built the arena.”
🥊 ASTER: “Cool. I brought the crowd.”
🔥 And now Binance enters the story
The Binance listing gives HYPE something it didn’t have before on Binance Spot:
massive centralized-exchange distribution.
HYPE already had the product, users and trading activity.
Now it gets a huge new liquidity highway.
Meanwhile, ASTER is sitting there like:
“Okay… my turn.”
The interesting part isn’t simply HYPE vs ASTER token price.
It’s Hyperliquid vs Aster as trading platforms.
Who can attract more traders?
Who generates more real volume?
Who builds deeper liquidity?
Who can keep users after the incentives disappear?
Because crypto has seen this movie before:
Airdrops → crazy volume → farming → incentives disappear → we discover who actually has users.
🧠 The big picture
HYPE’s Binance listing doesn’t suddenly make Hyperliquid successful — it already had substantial activity before Binance.
What it does is put a much bigger spotlight on the project and potentially connects the on-chain ecosystem with Binance’s enormous user base.
And now we have a fascinating race:
HYPE 🐂 — established leader
vs.
ASTER 🐉 — aggressive challenger
And somewhere in the background:
Binance: 🍿
The perp DEX war is officially getting spicy. 🔥
