XRP Flips BTC & ETH on Korean Exchanges 💱❎
⏹️ XRP is back on top in South Korea, leading volume on Upbit and ranking #2 on Bithumb ahead of Bitcoin and Ether. Price is still stuck under resistance though.
Volume Surge on Upbit & Bithumb
🔹 Upbit: XRP/KRW hit ∼$110.9M in 24h volume, beating BTC at $88.6M and ETH at $67M.
🔹 Bithumb: XRP/KRW did ∼$41M, second only to USDT/KRW and above both BTC/KRW and ETH/KRW.
🔹 Korea has a history of pushing XRP to the top during hype cycles, often before bigger moves.
Price Still Stuck at Resistance
🔹 Trading flat: XRP sits around $1.44–$1.45, up ∼3% on the week. Trails BNB and SOL which gained ∼8%.
🔹 Resistance wall: Keeps getting rejected at $1.49–$1.50 since February, but holding higher lows above $1.40 support.
🔹 Setup: Volume building under a long-tested ceiling. If $1.50 breaks with thin liquidity above, move could accelerate fast.
Why Korea Is Piling In
🔹 Local stocks choppy: Kospi fell after AI tax comments, showing fragile risk appetite.
🔹 High-beta bet: Traders are concentrating on XRP vs broad crypto risk - it’s a familiar high-beta name for Korean retail.
🔹 Not a guarantee: High volume can mean heavy selling or late longs at resistance too. But when XRP leads Korean volumes while compressing, the market usually watches.
