Stablecoin market cap falls to its lowest level in over a year

According to CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost
Since April this year
It has fallen from about $280 billion to about $263 billion
Down about $17 billion in six months
A decline of roughly 6%

On centralized trading platforms
Binance accounts for about 70% of the stablecoin supply
Its stablecoin market cap 90-day average
Slid from about $51 billion to about $34 billion
After the hot wallet security incident
Another roughly $3 billion in stablecoins flowed out

The contraction in stablecoins
Essentially means there's less dry powder on the sidelines
It's not about any one altcoin
Next, watch whether $BTC can strengthen
First, see whether stablecoins can stop falling and recover
Then see whether exchanges can continue to retain liquidity

Sellers ran out of steam first Buyers still haven't returned According to CryptoQuant Bitcoin’s “seller exhaustion” model has fallen to near its lowest level since this bear market began The model uses the ratio of supply in profit compared with the monthly average volatility to assess whether sellers still have enough coins to keep pushing prices down After spot prices pulled back more than 10% from their highs most short-term holders looking to take profits had already sold and selling pressure weakened noticeably But the analysis also made one thing clear: weaker selling pressure doesn’t mean an immediate rebound The core issue is insufficient new demand Until buying capital returns at scale upside remains limited At this point, the biggest risk is to mistake “sellers can’t push it lower” for “a huge rally is coming” A more measured interpretation is that downward momentum is fading but a trend reversal will take real money coming into the market $BTC $ETH #卖方耗竭 #Bitcoin链上 #CryptoQuant

Bitcoin’s “seller exhaustion” model
has fallen to near its lowest level since this bear market began

to assess whether sellers still have enough coins to keep pushing prices down

After spot prices pulled back more than 10% from their highs
most short-term holders looking to take profits had already sold
and selling pressure weakened noticeably
But the analysis also made one thing clear:
weaker selling pressure doesn’t mean an immediate rebound
The core issue is insufficient new demand
Until buying capital returns at scale
upside remains limited

At this point, the biggest risk is
to mistake “sellers can’t push it lower” for “a huge rally is coming”
A more measured interpretation is that
downward momentum is fading
but a trend reversal will take real money coming into the market

Came across CryptoQuant: The total stablecoin market cap has fallen to its lowest level in over a year. Analyst Darkfost says it slid from around $280 billion in April this year to about $263 billion, a drop of roughly $17 billion (about 6%) in six months. He believes the main reasons are insufficient demand and a lack of new liquidity. Recent geopolitical and macroeconomic factors, along with a string of security incidents, have also made investors less willing to increase their exposure. The 90-day moving average of stablecoin balances on exchanges is also trending downward. A shrinking stablecoin market means less “dry powder” on the sidelines. For the market to turn around, we first need to see whether this capital flows back in. #稳定币 #CryptoQuant $USDT $USDC

$1.1 billion in realized losses in a single day. CryptoQuant says the delayed shock from the Binance hack triggered stop-loss selling in $BTC, with 24-hour realized losses hitting $1.115 billion as price dipped to $77,553. Liquidity also thinned by about 23,284 BTC, which tends to make moves sharper. My take: capitulation days can mark exhaustion, but they can also be just a pause. Price has since steadied near $78K. Did you sell the dip, hold, or add during the hack panic? Not financial advice. #Bitcoin #CryptoQuant #BinanceHack #Crypto

US demand is going missing for $BTC. CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju said the US bitcoin premium index fell to its lowest level in four years, and a deep negative premium signals weak US demand (reported Oct 30). He framed it as a contrarian bottom signal. Historically, extreme lows in demand gauges have sometimes lined up with exhausted selling, but it's not a timing tool. With BTC near $77,000 and fear in the air, it's worth watching whether US buyers return. Do you read a weak US premium as a bottom signal or as proof that demand is still fading? Meowbro was watching CryptoQuant data and found a divergence: retail is charging in, while whales are staying away. 🐱 📊 Darkfost data: With BTC holding above 80,000 for several weeks, the 30-day cumulative amount of retail inflows to Binance has doubled from $5.5 billion to $10.75 billion, hitting a 6-month high. 🐋 In contrast, whale inflows to Binance have been declining over the past two months, suggesting that large holders are currently unwilling to move large amounts of coins to exchanges at this price level. 🔍 Meowbro’s take: Active retail participation + restrained whales often means holdings are diverging. More people entering doesn’t necessarily mean there’s selling pressure, but it does suggest the rally lacks proactive buying from big money. The key level to watch is 80,000; only if it holds can continuation be discussed. Do you think retail is bottom-fishing this move or chasing the top? The data is out, but don’t rush to call it a bull run: CryptoQuant says whales have scooped up 243,000 $BTC in less than three months since July, spending over $20 billion. The one-year change in holdings has narrowed from -282,000 BTC to -39,000 BTC—just one step away from turning positive. A report on October 13 put whales’ total holdings at 3.03 million BTC, the highest since last November. But here’s the painful part: Bitcoin is still hovering around $80,700, down 1.1% over the past 24 hours, and U.S. spot ETFs saw net outflows of $137.9 million on October 23. More and more people are hoarding coins, while fewer and fewer buyers are stepping in. So is this smart money quietly accumulating at $80K, or is this fake hoarding caused by exchange wallets being counted together? Let the debate begin in the comments: A) Whales are buying the dip—follow them and you can’t go wrong; B) Data can be misleading—the fact that BTC is stuck at $80K is proof. Which side are you on? $BTC $ETH $SOL #比特币 #巨鲸 #CryptoQuant

🧐 CryptoQuant founder says “new money is flowing into BTC,” but the price is still stuck at $83K. Who should you believe? On October 21, CryptoQuant’s Ki Young Ju posted: “Fresh capital is flowing into Bitcoin. This only happens in bull markets.” First, let’s look at what he’s referring to. This kind of assessment typically uses “realized capitalization”: instead of calculating based on the current price, it adds up the price of each coin at the time it was last transferred on-chain. When someone takes over coins at a higher price, this figure rises, so it’s more like a cost basis backed by real money than a measure of sentiment. A roundup of related posts on X mentioned a few points: 🔹 BTC is trading sideways around $83,400, still well below its late-2025 high of around $126,000 🔹 About 81% of the supply is in profit 🔹 New large holders now account for about a third of whale activity 🔹 Prediction markets put the odds of reaching $100,000 before January 2027 at just 26% My take: on-chain data says “someone is buying in,” while the price says “the battle isn’t won yet.” There’s no contradiction. New money is taking over old coins, and that kind of turnover is common around market bottoms. But “only happens in bull markets” is a summary of past trends, not a guarantee—and there have only been a handful of cycles. I treat it as a background signal, not a buy signal. What really matters is whether the price can break above the broad band of resistance overhead. Until then, don’t bet on a direction with high leverage. Do you trust on-chain data more, or candlestick charts? Do you think the 26% probability is too low? #BTC #链上数据 #CryptoQuant #BullMarket

CryptoQuant’s data from this evening put a bit of a damper on the rebound: 🔹 30-day spot demand had nearly reached zero, and has now turned negative again 🔹 Perpetual futures are doing most of the work supporting overall demand 🔹 BTC reserves on exchanges rose from around 2.67 million in early October to about 2.68 million, an increase of roughly 10,000 BTC, worth around $800 million at the current price 🔹 Addresses holding 100–1,000 BTC have been net buyers over the past 60 days, while those holding more than 10,000 BTC have been net sellers In other words, this 2.6% gain was probably driven by futures, while spot buying hasn’t caught up yet. Bitcoin is back above 82,000. Who’s been buying this rally? 🤔

Current price: 82,795. Today’s low: 80,684, up 2.6% from the low.
CryptoQuant’s data from this evening put a bit of a damper on the rebound:

🔹 30-day spot demand had nearly reached zero, and has now turned negative again
🔹 Perpetual futures are doing most of the work supporting overall demand

📰 BTC’s supply-and-demand picture is indeed changing, but this recovery has been uneven. CryptoQuant data shows exchange reserves rising from around 2.67 million BTC in early October to about 2.68 million. Although that’s still well below January levels, it doesn’t necessarily mean supply is continuing to shrink. 🔥 This 10,000 BTC increase doesn’t mean those coins are about to be sold. The transfers may simply reflect a change in custody arrangements, and exchange reserves alone make it hard to gauge selling pressure. What’s more concerning is that 30-day spot demand briefly came close to zero before turning negative. Perpetual futures demand is currently positive, providing support for overall demand. Honestly, this setup isn’t especially reassuring: futures are seeing buyers, but spot buying hasn’t followed through, so the recovery could easily falter. 👀 Whales haven’t entered the market en masse either. Addresses holding 100 to 1,000 BTC have continued to accumulate on a net basis over the past 60 days, but at a slower pace than at the late-September peak. The net outflows from holders of 1,000 to 10,000 BTC are now close to zero, while those holding more than 10,000 BTC are still net sellers. 💡 There are still conditions for a bottom to form, but a solid recovery will require spot demand to return consistently, and buyers to absorb BTC flowing back onto exchanges. Expectations around the U.S. midterm elections and monetary policy will ultimately have to translate into actual buying. 🤔 What do you think matters more next: spot demand turning positive, or the biggest whales stopping their selling? #BTC #比特币 #CryptoQuant #On-ChainData

🚨 Bitcoin’s Ultimate Safety Net: Is a $30K Bottom Even Possible? Body: Let’s talk numbers and market reality. 📊 CryptoQuant founder Ki Young Ju recently shared a massive on-chain perspective: Bitcoin’s on-chain cost basis points to a bottom near $30,000—even in the extreme scenario where all ETF funds and treasury-held BTC (totaling 1.3M BTC) decide to exit the market! To put things into perspective: ETF Inflows: ETFs have successfully brought in $58 billion. Treasury Holdings: Corporate treasuries currently hold around 1.3 million BTC. The Extreme Bear Case: For BTC to plunge down to $10,000, it would require an MVRV ratio drop of 0.2—meaning 2019 buyers would literally have to panic sell after already surviving multiple 75% corrections! Meanwhile, looking at the charts right now, $BTC {future}(BTCUSDT) is holding strong around $81,618, consolidating and showing resilience despite macro noise. 👇 What do you think? 1️⃣ Are we ever seeing sub-$40k Bitcoin again, or is $30K purely a theoretical floor? 2️⃣ Where are you allocating your portfolio at current levels? 📰 CryptoQuant founder and CEO Ki Young Ju announced the launch of Analyst Consensus, which brings together analysts’ opinions from platforms such as X, Substack, and Seeking Alpha. It currently covers 878 analysts and more than 1.3 million opinions in total, including 140,000 related to Bitcoin. 🔥 It uses AI to automatically read analysts’ statements, label them as bullish or bearish, and score them, then condenses the results into a single metric showing the overall market outlook among analysts. Honestly, saving time that would otherwise be spent checking opinions across different platforms is pretty useful. 👀 However, while a single metric may seem convenient, it can also make it easy to overlook disagreements among analysts. Once bullish and bearish views have been categorized and scored, how much of the original statements’ nuance and caveats remains? You may still need to click through and read them yourself. 💡 The platform is currently free to use, with no paywall. In addition to Bitcoin, it covers major altcoins and some stocks, and more assets and analysts will be added over time. Would you check this consensus indicator first, or go straight to the analysts’ original posts? #CryptoQuant #AnalystConsensus #比特币 #CryptoMarket
