The market capitalization of stablecoins grew by about 50% in 2025.
From US$ 207 billion on January 1, 2025, it jumped to US$ 307 billion by the end of the year.
Notable changes in supply:
USDT: US$ 137 billion → US$ 187 billion
USDC: US$ 44 billion → US$ 76 billion
USDS: US$ 1.28 billion → US$ 6 billion
Practical reading: this is ready liquidity. Stablecoin is “dry powder” in the ecosystem — fuels DEXs, DeFi, arbitrage, OTC, and fast entry into risk when sentiment shifts.
And an important detail: in 2025, stablecoins ceased to be just a “bridge” and became a product. The trend is for the growth of stablecoins with specific focus (payments, yield, compliance, RWAs, and specific networks).
