$TRIA Only 7% of the USDT is left in the pool, yet the price is up 10%
The pool is almost drained, but the price keeps climbing. No matter how you do the math, it just doesn’t add up.
$TRIA is trading around $0.0026 today, up about 10% in 24 hours. The price alone doesn’t look unusual, but the pool tells a different story: the main
$TRIA /$USDT pool started with 974,000 $USDT, but now has just 71,000 left—more than 90% has been pulled out. On the other side, the TRIA balance has also shrunk from 17.1 million tokens to 7.2 million. The pool is only around $100,000 deep, yet it saw about $159,000 in trading volume in a day—more than the pool itself. Buys and sells were roughly even, with net buying of just $739. No one is really putting money in to push it up; the price is being propped up by a thin pool.
Tria itself is building a self-custody neobank and a U card. It raised $12 million last October, and its card works in more than 150 countries, so the project isn’t all hot air. The token’s market cap is also small, at around $2.23 million, with 21,600 holders. There are no buy or sell taxes, and all 94 simulated sell transactions passed.
The top three addresses look alarming, together holding around 90%, but they’re wallets belonging to Bybit and Binance Alpha. Those are custodial holdings, so they shouldn’t automatically be taken as a group of retail holders.
If you’re holding, keep an eye on whether the $USDT balance in the pool gets replenished. If it keeps shrinking, a few larger sell orders could crater the price. If you’re not holding, just watch from the sidelines—and don’t take gains in a thin pool at face value.
What do you think: when a coin’s pool is almost dry but the price is still rising, is someone slowly selling into it, or has it simply been left unattended?
This is not investment advice. Alpha projects are high risk and may go to zero.
