A serious vulnerability targets Mac devices to mine Monero
New warning from the Dutch Cyber Security Agency: attackers exploited a flaw in the Screen Sharing feature on Apple Mac devices to gain full control over systems that were directly exposed to the internet, then leveraged their resources to mine Monero (XMR).
🔐 Apple released a patch for the vulnerability on August 6, but devices that haven’t been updated remain at risk.
