South Korea just sent a clear message: high-leverage perpetual contracts on overseas platforms are under scrutiny.

My take? Leverage is risky. Leverage without reliable investor protection is a different level of risk.
At 200x leverage, a tiny move against your position can put your capital at serious risk. And if something goes wrong, being outside your home regulator’s protection can make recovery much harder.
But don’t confuse a regulatory warning with a ban on crypto or spot trading.

The real lesson? Before chasing leverage, understand what you’re trading, who protects you, and what happens when things go wrong.
Smart traders calculate risk before they calculate profit.

Both can trade on crypto infrastructure. Both can be represented by tokens. Both can expose you to price movements.
But that’s where the easy comparisons end.

CRYPTO
• A token’s value may depend on network utility, adoption, supply, demand, and market sentiment.

bSTOCKS
• Designed to provide exposure to the price performance and economic benefits of selected underlying equities, under specific product terms.

Here’s the distinction traders must understand:
Buying BTC is not the same as buying a tokenized security linked to a company’s shares.
bStocks don’t give you direct shareholder ownership or shareholder voting rights. Their structure also introduces issuer, custody, liquidity, and regulatory considerations that differ from holding a native crypto asset.
And 24/7 trading doesn’t erase the fact that the underlying equity market has its own trading hours.

So, are bStocks competing with crypto?
Not necessarily. They represent a different type of exposure using some of the same infrastructure.
Don’t judge an asset only by the technology it runs on. Understand what you actually own.
