4,259 BTC, worth about $340 million, and overnight they’re already sitting on Crypto.com. What a coincidence, huh? According to Lookonchain and Arkham, a wallet linked to Trump Media transferred the coins from a “convertible bond collateral” address to Crypto.com in the early hours of the morning. The original address now has only about 1 BTC left. Their Q2 filing listed 4,260.73 BTC in collateral—almost exactly the same amount. On November 30, bondholders can demand a cash buyback, worth about $1 billion. To be clear: transferring coins to an exchange doesn’t mean they’ve been sold. They’ve previously said this could be for custody or trading management, and that’s still unconfirmed. But the more I look at the timing, the more it feels off. My approach hasn’t changed: if you can hold your coins yourself, don’t leave them with someone else. Do you think they’re about to dump, or is this just routine operations? In less than 20 hours, 14% of the 210 million $RGB pool has already been claimed. @RGBHorse just posted an update: 25,442 addresses and X accounts have minted, with 179.33 million left. Each DarkHorse wallet can link up to 5 BTC addresses to combine computing power, open blind boxes to claim $RGB, and get a chance to win a spot on the UNSEEN whitelist. I only sat up and took notice when I saw the numbers: the free pool is limited, first come, first served, and the first few days of the 10-day window will naturally see the most people. Of course, the official $RGB account also states that these are free faucet assets with no promise of value. Don’t treat them as an investment product. I’m just here to try out the RGB wallet and maybe win a whitelist spot along the way. What do you think—how many days will it take for this pool to run out? A. Within 5 days B. It’ll last until the final day Just my personal opinion. DYOR. $BTC #Bitcoin #RGB #Airdrop

A potentially unpopular opinion: sooner or later, the government will ask you to "report" the coins you hold yourself. Yesterday, France's National Assembly passed amendment I-2701 by 150 votes to 44: if the total value of your self-custody wallets (like Ledger or Trezor) reaches €100,000 on December 31, you have to declare them to the tax authorities. Failure to do so could result in a fine of up to €10,000. Note that this is only an amendment to the 2027 budget bill at its first reading; it has not become law yet and still has to clear the budget process and the Senate. It also doesn't introduce a new tax—just a reporting requirement. Personally, I don't think reporting itself is scary. What's scary is the threshold gradually dropping further (another proposal to set it at €5,000 was rejected this time). Holding your own private keys is fundamental to Bitcoin's purpose. I hope that line doesn't keep getting drawn more narrowly. Are there similar requirements where you live? Would this change how you store your coins? DYOR #比特币 #自托管 #CryptoRegulation

If you hold BTC, don’t scroll past this: Saylor’s STRC finally touched its $100 par value today, for the first time since May. According to CoinDesk, once it gets above $100, Strategy will switch from buybacks to issuing more STRC, which could theoretically give it another pile of money to buy Bitcoin with. It slipped a cent to $99.99 before the market closed, so it’s not a done deal yet, and I wouldn’t say he’s definitely buying more right away. But I think this is a pretty interesting signal: BTC just plunged and bounced back to around $80,000 after election night, and the big players’ buying machine may be about to start up again. I’m still holding spot and keeping my own keys—no chasing the pump. How much buying pressure do you think this STRC issuance could generate for Strategy? DYOR #比特币 #Strategy #STRC

It made $566 million in a quarter, yet has to cough up $764 million to settle. I’ve been trying to make the math add up. In an SEC filing, Jack Dorsey’s Block disclosed that it had agreed in principle to pay $764 million to resolve a U.S. Department of Justice investigation into its anti-money laundering compliance. Criminal charges will be deferred for three years. In the same earnings report, Cash App’s gross profit from Bitcoin was also cut in half, falling 50% to $52 million, mainly because the company lowered its fees. Honestly, the fine is one thing. What I care more about is this: if even a company this big can stumble on compliance, can we really feel safe keeping our crypto on a platform? Personally, I still prefer to hold most of mine myself. What do you think—is Block’s fine expensive or cheap? DYOR #比特币 #Block #Compliance

$378 million in short positions were liquidated in one hour. BTC just broke above $80,000, while the ETF had still been seeing consecutive outflows three days ago. A bunch of people were short around $76,000, only to get wiped out by a single sharp rally (data from CoinGlass; ETH also rose about 5% in one hour). Honestly, I don't think this means a reversal is underway. Analysts have also warned that selling pressure is significant around $84,000–$85,500. But this short squeeze says a lot: the market is most likely to move in the opposite direction when everyone is most convinced of one thing. My approach hasn't changed: no chasing leverage, just gradually accumulating spot and keeping my coins in my own hands. Were you short last night, or waiting for a pullback? I just saw that the hackers behind Binance’s $6.3 billion heist are on the move again: Lookonchain says they’re splitting up the stolen SOL, selling it for USDC, transferring it to Ethereum to buy ETH, and then swapping it for BTC through THORChain. CoinDesk noted that once it’s converted to BTC and ETH, there’s no issuer that can freeze it. More than $3 billion in USDT/USDC has already been frozen. Elliptic’s assessment is that very little has actually been cashed out so far, and they may move the rest over the counter over the course of several months. RUNE is also up about 10%. Honestly, I have mixed feelings: nobody can freeze BTC, and that’s one of its strengths, but it’s hard to feel good about seeing it used for money laundering. Personally, I think this is exactly when it’s even more important to keep your coins somewhere you control. Do you think THORChain should block addresses like these? Or should decentralization mean treating everyone equally? #THORChain #比特币 #Binance

@RGBHorse just posted: DarkHorse Wallet is live—the first RGB v0.11 wallet on Bitcoin mainnet. It’s also offering 210 million $RGB for free minting, for 10 days, first come, first served. The official team explicitly says $RGB is a faucet asset and makes no promises about its value. I think that’s refreshingly honest: treat it as a free experiment, with no expectations. Eligibility depends on Power: a history of holding BTC/Ordinals/Runes, LNFi trading records, 200+ X followers, or a blue check. These three criteria can be combined. I’m still checking my own Power. On the other hand, Apple, Strategy, Coinbase, and Robinhood haven’t publicly opposed it so far. I just came across a post saying that CFTC Chair Selig announced single-stock perpetual futures can now be listed on regulated exchanges in the U.S. Apparently, this is a first. My first reaction: This kind of trading has mostly been on on-chain platforms like Hyperliquid and offshore exchanges. Now it’s being brought back under the U.S. regulatory framework. But he didn’t say which exchange will list them first, which stocks will be covered, or when, so for now it’s more like “the door is open,” not “you can trade them tomorrow.” Perpetuals come with leverage and no expiration date to begin with, so I’d be very cautious about trading them on individual stocks. BTC perpetuals were approved earlier this year, so this feels like another step in that direction. DYOR. Would you try regulated stock perpetuals, or stick with on-chain platforms? #CFTC #永续合约 #Bitcoin

Binance just held a press conference and said the breach that led to $6.3 billion being stolen actually started with a fake job interview. According to their security chief, an engineer was contacted by a “project director” on a legitimate hiring platform in September. They had two video interviews, and then the engineer was asked to download a “coding assignment” onto their work computer. It contained a zero-day Trojan capable of bypassing endpoint protection. The attackers then made their way to the wallet team and struck on October 29, using EIP-7702 to gain execution control of the hot wallet. This is all according to Binance; independent reviews have yet to be released. Honestly, what surprised me most was that a defense worth tens of billions of dollars was ultimately breached through an “assignment.” My takeaway is simple: don’t download random stuff onto your work computer, and don’t keep all your crypto on an exchange. I just saw the data shared by the Binance CEO: in the 46 hours after the hacking incident, users withdrew a total of about $10.97 billion. After accounting for deposits, the net outflow was $5.28 billion. Those numbers are pretty alarming. But he also said that since early this morning, deposits have been slightly higher than withdrawals each hour (by about $10 million), which could be a sign things are stabilizing. Honestly, I wouldn’t put much stock in a single hour’s data—we’ll have to see whether the trend holds over the next few days. Just checked the market—BTC has slipped back to around $76,900, its lowest in more than a month. CoinDesk did the math: it was around $87,000 in week 40, and now it’s roughly $76,500. If it can’t recover by the end of this week, that’ll make five consecutive weeks of losses, tying for the third-longest losing streak on record (the longest was eight weeks in 2022). Spot Bitcoin ETFs saw $643 million in outflows last Friday, the biggest single-day outflow in four months. The Binance situation hasn’t fully settled, and the U.S. midterm elections are happening tonight. Strategy announced on Monday that it had bought another 811 BTC at an average price of $80,800, so that position is underwater at current prices. Personally, I’m not keen on chasing the rally, and I don’t dare aggressively buy the dip either. I’d rather avoid leverage, hold spot, and check the charts less often. Are you waiting for the election results before making a move, or have you already started buying in batches? DYOR, not investment advice. #比特币 #BTC #CryptoMarket

Just came across something pretty interesting: Last Friday, Arbitrum’s Security Council directly transferred 8,425 ETH and 74 million ARB (about $30 million) out of the Binance hacker’s address, without using the hacker’s private key. They did it by getting 9 of the 12 members to sign, temporarily replacing the core contract code so the chain treated the transactions as if they’d been sent by the hacker’s address, then changing it back afterward. CoinDesk says this is the second time this has happened this year. Of course I support catching hackers, but honestly, reading this gave me chills: whoever controls upgrade permissions could theoretically “spend” assets from any address on-chain. That’s also why I think self-custody of Bitcoin is non-negotiable. Just my personal opinion—DYOR. Do you think this was a reasonable emergency measure, or a slap in the face to decentralization? #Arbitrum #Binance #Bitcoin

After watching what’s happened these past few days, I really don’t feel comfortable. I’ll do my best to move most of mine back into self-custody and keep only what I need on exchanges.

The amount is based on on-chain analysis for now; the company hasn’t confirmed it yet. Waiting for further announcements. How much of your crypto do you still keep on exchanges? DYOR

@UnseenOrdo reposted a recap of the Turin hackathon, saying RGB moves forward by turning ideas into real apps. I’ve had mixed feelings about RGB—there have been times when it was all hype, and times when it cooled off. I’d rather see whether anyone is actually building something. UNSEEN is a privacy NFT with one side public and the other visible only to holders—at least it’s a practical application. I’m working on the whitelist; it takes about a minute and costs nothing. Free mint spots are selected separately, so I’m not counting on one. Do you think RGB will break through first with stablecoins or small NFT apps? Just my personal take—DYOR. $BTC
