They moved $678M worth of Bitcoin into 14 new wallets instead of keeping everything in one address.

When a Bitcoin address is reused, its public keys are exposed, giving attackers unlimited time to try and crack them.
By spreading funds into unused addresses, El Salvador reduces that risk.
