American banks are allowed to act as intermediaries in transactions #العملات #المشفرة
Banks will be allowed to act as intermediaries in cryptocurrency transactions, according to the announcement made by the U.S. national banking regulator on Tuesday, marking an important step by the Trump administration to bridge the gap between traditional finance and cryptocurrency activities.
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) issued new guidance allowing banks to engage in "risk-free asset" transactions involving cryptocurrency assets without facing regulatory scrutiny.
These transactions allow banks to act as intermediaries by purchasing assets from one party while simultaneously selling those assets to another party. Under this arrangement, banks do not hold cryptocurrency assets on their books during the process, except in rare cases, according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
