According to data from SoSoValue,

The trading volume of Solana ETF in the session reached $42.39 million, with total assets nearing $1 billion, equivalent to 1.16% of SOL market capitalization.

Market share of Solana ETFs:

  • Bitwise BSOL leads with $672.4 million in assets.

  • Grayscale GSOL is second with $161.8 million.

The remaining ETFs from Fidelity, VanEck, and 21Shares have smaller allocations but still maintain strong activity.

Alongside Solana, XRP is also attracting strong interest. ETFs tracking XRP recorded $12.84 million in inflows for the day, bringing the total cumulative inflow to $887.12 million. $XRP

Leading funds include:

  • Canary XRCP with $342 million in assets

  • Grayscale GXRP with $219 million

  • Bitwise XRP fund at $90 million

Stable inflows indicate XRP is regaining attraction from institutional investors thanks to newly approved ETF products.

Bitcoin ETF continues to experience capital outflows but remains dominant

In contrast to the growth trend of SOL and XRP, Bitcoin ETF recorded -$194.64 million in outflows on December 4. This was the strongest outflow day of the week, reflecting profit-taking or portfolio adjustment sentiment among institutional investors.

However, the overall picture remains positive:

  • Total Bitcoin ETF assets still reach $57.56 billion

  • BlackRock IBIT leads with $71.54 billion AUM despite recording -$112.96 million outflow in a day

This indicates that the outflow of cash from BTC is temporary rather than a long-term retreat.

Ethereum is also not outside this wave with an outflow of -$41.57 million, although the total cumulative inflow of ETH ETFs still reaches $12.95 billion.

BlackRock ETHA still had a slight increase of +$28.35 million, indicating that there are still investors buying in during this correction.

Total ETH ETF assets reach $19.64 billion, equivalent to about 5% of ETH market capitalization.

ETFs expand into altcoins

Alongside the shift in cash flow, a series of new ETF products are continuously being deployed:

  • Canary Capital launched an ETF for XRP (XRPC) and HBAR (HBR)

  • Grayscale launched Chainlink ETF (GLNK)

  • 21Shares launched 2x leveraged SUI ETF, a rare case where the first ETF of an asset is a leveraged version

According to Bloomberg expert Eric Balchunas, the market has seen 74 crypto ETFs launched just this year, and 80 new ETFs are expected to appear in the next 12 months.

Conclusion

The shift of capital from Bitcoin to Solana and XRP indicates:

  • Institutional investors are expanding their portfolios into altcoins

  • New ETFs play an important role in diversifying cash flows

  • BTC and ETH, despite short-term outflows, still hold core positions in the market

If this trend continues, altcoin ETFs could become a new growth driver for the crypto market in the coming year.
