Ethereum promised a new rally with the deployment of Fusaka: the phenomenon is now confirmed! How far will the rise go this time?
Ethereum attracts buyers
Ethereum is experiencing a massive accumulation phase that propels its price to new heights in December 2025. According to data shared by Santiment, investors holding between 1,000 and 10,000 ETH are currently multiplying their purchases and directly influencing the performance of the altcoin.
Meanwhile, the network saw the birth of 190,000 new wallets in a single day, a sign of explosive demand that strengthens the bullish momentum.
This accumulation perfectly coincides with the successful launch of the major update Fusaka on the Ethereum mainnet. This hard fork integrates 'Fulu' for the consensus layer and 'Osaka' for the execution layer, optimizing data availability for layer 2 solutions like Arbitrum, Optimism, and Base, while preserving decentralization and node profitability.
In the wake of this, Vitalik Buterin also announced three key developments to fortify his project against technical abuses and improve its security. The priority areas include limiting the size of contract code per transaction, regulating the costs of ZK-EVM proofs for layer 2, and capping the expansion of EVM memory, thereby reducing attack risks and ensuring predictable performance. All this news rekindles the hype among traders.
Technically, the Ethereum price stands at $3,100, up 5% over 24 hours after breaking resistance between $3,193 and $3,200, a bullish signal reminiscent of the 56% rally post-Pectra in May 2025.
A bullish divergence is emerging on the charts: the price hit a low between November 4 and December 1, but the RSI formed a higher low, indicating weakening sellers. On-chain data supports this, with crypto whales accumulating in turn.
The next target is around the 200-hour moving average at $3,405, a crucial threshold to extend the upward movement. If the altcoin reaches this level, it could rise to $3,653, even $4,262 in the event of a 56% recovery, while $3,200 now becomes the main support to maintain.
The moral of the story: little by little, Ethereum is making its nest.
