Brad Garlinghouse recently made headlines by predicting Bitcoin will reach $180,000 next year. If it happens, this phenomenon could trigger a historic new bullish cycle for XRP, but how far will it go?
What about XRP in 2026?
The Ripple CEO's prediction rekindles speculation about the possible trajectory of XRP. This bullish scenario, mentioned during the Binance Blockchain Week in Dubai, fuels optimism within the crypto community and prompts many analysts to estimate the potential impact of this surge on the altcoin's value.
According to the XRP community, each doubling of Bitcoin's price often translates to a three to five times increase for major altcoins. According to Arthur, an active commentator on the network, if Garlinghouse's prediction materializes, the price of XRP could rise between $6 and $10, representing an increase of 3 to 5 times its current levels.
This perspective aligns with those of several analysts, particularly Cryptollica, who already see XRP moving towards $10. Even better: if the utility of the XRP token increases, particularly through institutional adoption or investment flows related to future ETFs, the value could climb within a range of $15 to $20.
Beyond these moderate forecasts, some analysts envision a much more explosive scenario. Analyst EGRAG believes that XRP could soar up to $27 in the long term. His reasoning is based on the study of a large symmetrical triangle formed since 2017, whose bullish breakout could serve as a trigger for a major ascent.
Market data partly supports this thesis: during the previous breakout in November 2024, XRP surged by 580%, rising from $0.5 to $3.4 in just two months.
Since then, the price has fluctuated between $1.6 and $3.6, but the model presented by EGRAG suggests two possible trajectories. In the shortest scenario, a correction towards the support of $2 would precede a rapid rise to $27. In the second, a more pronounced drop to $0.85 would be followed by a slower but more sustainable restart.
