$CYC saw more selling than buying, yet its price rose 10.7%|The top 10 holders control 79.2% of the supply
At around 9 p.m. last night,
$CYC climbed from 0.057 to 0.062 in an hour, gaining nearly 8%. It’s still holding at 0.0627, up 10.7% over 24 hours. The broader market was falling last night, but this token went the other way—and made quite a move.
The numbers tell a surprising story: over the past 24 hours, there were 3,810 buy orders worth $3.15 million and 3,190 sell orders worth $3.34 million. Selling exceeded buying by $19,000. The average sell order was $105, compared with just $83 for a buy order. Selling was heavier, yet the price went up.
Now, let’s look at who holds the tokens. On-chain data shows the top 10 holders own 79.2% combined, with the largest holding 21.5%, or 107.5 million tokens. The top 100 hold 98.9%, leaving just 1.1% spread across the remaining 95,800 addresses. The token’s total market cap is $31.3 million, while the liquidity pool holds just $1.05 million. In the CYC/$USDT pool, the USDT side has grown from 10,000 tokens when the pool was created to 519,000 now—a 52-fold increase. The CYC side holds 8.53 million tokens.
The project focuses on chain-abstraction settlement. Its website says it aims to build a VisaNet for the crypto world, lists YZiLabs as its incubator, and has a community airdrop underway on the homepage. Of 3,599 addresses in the sell simulation, 10 failed. The tax is 0, and a single address holds all the LP tokens; I couldn’t find proof that they’re locked.
I’m making a note of this token for now. If you’re holding it, keep an eye on two things: whether those large top-10 wallets move, and whether USDT starts being pulled out of the pool. If either changes, the story changes. If you’re not holding it, don’t rush to chase it—the pool is shallow and the supply is concentrated, so the price can move quickly in either direction.
What do you think is behind a token rising despite heavier selling—is someone quietly buying it up, or is the shallow pool simply pushing the price higher?
