Many people enter DeFi attracted by yields, but few really understand how liquidation works. Here’s what nobody tells you:

🔒 Your collateral isn’t in your wallet or on Binance. It’s locked in a smart contract of the protocol. As long as the value of your collateral stays healthy, you’re fine. But watch out:

📉 If the value of your collateral falls below the threshold (LTV), the protocol triggers an automatic liquidation. It doesn’t warn you or wait. It just happens.

💸 What happens to your collateral? The contract sells or auctions it to cover your debt and the accumulated interest. If there’s anything left over, they return it to you. If not, it’s an assumed loss.
