For 1,460 days, I believed that drawing colorful lines on the chart—LTA, LTB, Fibonacci, the devil’s four and all—that would change my fate in day trading. I thought the market respected my “technical analysis.”
What innocence.
I spent years studying abstract art while the real secret was right under my nose, hidden in the order book.
The bare, brutal truth is that the market doesn’t care about your support and resistance levels. The market doesn’t follow lines; it follows money.
The real effect is called LIQUIDITY.
Price is only a magnet. It is mercilessly pulled toward where the retail crowd’s stops are and where the big institutional orders sit. Where there’s liquidity, the market goes—no matter who it hurts (usually, it hurts your pocket).
While you’re praying for the 5-minute chart to respect an LTA, the big players will be laughing, absorbing your orders to move the price exactly in the opposite direction.
