$KSM slid quietly out of the spotlight once again. The current price is $3.23; in the past 24 hours, volume has been only 3.43 million, and the market cap has fallen to $59.71 million—once the halo of the “Polkadot canary network,” its place in market sentiment is now almost impossible to find.
What’s interesting is that the fact that nobody’s talking about it is itself a signal. The popular narratives have moved on to AI, Meme, and RWA; the capital and attention from the older L1 era have been drained away. KSM is a textbook example of this current “narrative vacuum.”
From my personal perspective:
- With a market cap under $60 million, any technical upgrade in the Polkadot ecosystem or cross-chain action can be a source of upside elasticity from a low base
- But liquidity is too thin—trend trading doesn’t compare to range trading, and the cost-effectiveness of chasing highs is clearly worse than lying in wait
- What’s truly worth tracking is the rhythm of the Polkadot mainnet; KSM, as an experimental ground, often moves first
Being under the radar doesn’t mean it’s dead—but don’t treat silence as an opportunity. Wait for the narrative, and wait for trading volume to come back first.
