⚠️ US WAR x IRAN: THE RISK MAY BE GREATER THAN IT SEEMS

A report from The Wall Street Journal brought up a point that caught my attention: White House authorities are said to have warned Trump, in particular, that a conflict with Iran could last until after January 2029.

At the same time, Trump has been publicly claiming that the conflict could end quickly.

This gap between public messaging and internal assessments increases uncertainty. And markets hate uncertainty. 😬

For cryptocurrencies, my short-term read is to be cautious. If new headlines raise geopolitical tensions, volatility could increase significantly and end up weighing on the market.

In this scenario, I would mainly watch how BTC and major assets behave. If they lose momentum, altcoins may feel it even more.

📌 For now, for me, the main trigger isn’t a specific token, but macro and geopolitical risk.

🇺🇸 The temporary global tariff of 10% expires on July 24, and the administration is preparing a new cycle. Up to 60 countries could be affected, covering nearly the entirety of U.S. import volumes.
🛢️ Brent crude oil has broken through the $90 per barrel mark amid rising tensions with Iran, while official U.S. gasoline prices are back above $4 per gallon. A war with Iran is far from over. This is a new Afghanistan.
₿ Amid fresh positive news around the Clarity Act law, Bitcoin has climbed above 66.5K. Twitter is calling it again « the end of the bear market ». But when is it really different?
The 21-day exponential moving average (EMA) is around 69K, and Bitcoin is approaching this resistance zone.
We have already booked 3 « mother of shorts » since the BTC peak, and this would be the 4th. If you missed the previous ones, this is a solid zone to consider for a short. I expect the price to eventually fall further, but $55K is a prudent target. We’ll keep this short for a deeper pullback.
The capitulation is still to come, with about two more months of price action in a bear market before the bottom.

🇺🇸🇹🇼 Delays in arms for Taiwan are already starting to weigh on business
Anduril founder Palmer Luckey said that the delay of a $14 billion arms package for Taiwan is already affecting the company’s operations in the region.
According to Luckey, he has discussed the issue with Trump, JD Vance, and Marco Rubio. Anduril already supplies Altius drones to Taiwan and is involved in developing defense systems in the country.
In my view, the most important point here is uncertainty. While the package remains stalled, defense sector companies lack clarity on new contracts and investments.
And the timing stands out: with a meeting between U.S. and China leaders scheduled for next week, Taiwan could end up being an important piece in negotiations between the two countries.
For markets, I’d keep an eye on this, because any change to this situation could increase geopolitical tensions and bring more volatility to risk assets.
