BWOW: Dogecoin ETF closure dates

On September 10, 2026, Bitwise announced the voluntary liquidation of BWOW. This reminder outlines the expected dates for the coming days.

According to the issuer, the last scheduled trading session on NYSE Arca is Wednesday, October 14. Secondary trading and the creation of new shares will be suspended before the market opens on the 15th.

The notice on the official website, reviewed on October 11, states that shareholders will receive an automatic cash redemption, calculated using the net asset value (NAV) on October 21. Delivery through their intermediaries is expected around the 22nd.

NAV is the value of the fund’s assets minus its liabilities, per share. The payment does not guarantee recovery of the amount invested. In addition, upon entering liquidation, the fund will no longer be managed in accordance with its investment objective, according to the 8-K.

The decision affects BWOW. It does not mean the closure of Dogecoin or of all products linked to DOGE. Bitwise frames it as an optimization of its offering; no additional cause should be attributed to it without evidence.

Market perspective: an access vehicle is disappearing, but this isolated event does not determine DOGE’s trajectory.
