🔴 AAVE is red. Aave's infrastructure isn't standing still...
#RapidRaiser V4 recently crossed the $1B deposit mark according to Aave's own reporting, while LlamaRisk's six-hub snapshot recorded $708.6M — a useful reminder that “deposits” and TVL figures can differ by methodology.
But the more interesting development came on Sept. 21.
Aave proposed a dedicated Equities Hub on Base, allowing tokenized versions of the Magnificent Seven to be posted as collateral to borrow USDC.
The equities aren't initially borrowable.
That's important.
Aave isn't trying to turn tokenized stocks into another speculative trading pair.
It's experimenting with something more fundamental:
equity → collateral → credit
If that model scales, tokenized securities don't just become tradable on-chain.
They become productive collateral inside DeFi.
So the interesting AAVE metric isn't today's candle.
It's whether V4 can turn growing deposits into real borrowing demand around increasingly diverse collateral.
That's the point where tokenization stops being a wrapper — and starts becoming financial infrastructure.
What if it Could be a good opportunity or not? This is not a financial advice.
DYOR: The Base Equities Hub is a governance proposal/rollout plan, not proof of future adoption or revenue.
