$ATOM is up 7.4% on the week and I don't trust it, because every headline under that bounce is about something leaving.
Cosmos Labs told EVM chains to halt after the KiiChain exploit, 148M KII gone, and TAC got hit too. That's the security story the coin's feed is still carrying.
Cosmostation, the non-custodial wallet, was set to cease operation on September 1st. The feed also says significant projects and core contributors are moving to Ethereum layer-2s. A chain that loses its wallet and its builders doesn't earn a premium.
$ATOM trades at $1.74 right now, sitting on the 24h high of $1.74 after a low of $1.61. If it can't hold above $1.74, I think it slides back to $1.61 and the bounce was just a bounce. If it breaks above $1.74 and stays there, I'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend. If you're holding, that's your cue to ignore me.
$JST is up 7.4% today and 10.91% on the week, and I couldn't find a single JST headline behind it.
Its news feed is full of other coins' stories. Nothing shipped, nothing listed, nothing announced. That makes this a pure price move, and I trust those more than a pump that has a press release attached.
No catalyst means no one is trapped holding a story. The 24h range runs $0.1262 to $0.1378, and the price sits near the top of it. Dips got bought all day.
Buyers who show up without a reason tend to keep showing up until something breaks.
$JST trades at $0.1369 right now, about a penny below the day's high of $0.1378. If it holds above $0.1262, I think it takes out $0.1378 and keeps going. If it loses $0.1262, I'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend. If you're in, that's the level to leave at, not a level to hope at.
$BNB is up 6.28% over 30 days and has beaten BTC by 1.9 points over that window, and it's sitting just 1.0% above its 20-day mean at $762.837.
daily RSI is 58, so nothing is overheated. the screener scores the setup 8 out of 14, a decent 8 and I won't dress it up as a 12. volume is the quiet part: the last 5 days ran 0.72x the 20 before, so nobody's chasing. I'd rather buy a dip nobody's chasing than a breakout everybody is.
the daily MACD histogram is still negative, and that's the best argument against me. it's why I'm calling a retest of the high and not a moonshot.
$BNB trades at $770.64 right now. if it holds $762.837, I think it pushes back to yesterday's high at $784.46, 1.8% away. if it loses $762.837, I'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend, and anyone long just lost the support that's carried the month.
$AXS is up 26.85% in 30 days and 22.8 points ahead of BTC over that stretch, so today's dip reads as a pause to me, not a top.
volume is the part i trust. the last 5 days ran 1.85x the 20 days before, which is what a real move looks like instead of a one-candle squeeze. daily RSI 65 with MACD still positive says there's room left, not exhaustion.
the 24h change is -1.54%. that's a coin catching its breath after a run. the screener scores it 8 out of 14, so it's a decent setup and i'm not dressing it up as more.
$AXS trades at $1.21 right now. if it holds $1.134, i think it pushes back toward yesterday's high at $1.294. if it loses $1.134, i'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend, and anyone long is already down about 6.6% from here.
$ETC is still up 6.67% on the week, and today's 3.8% drop is a pullback inside that move. I'm treating it as a dip, not a reversal.
The project's own account is making the pitch again. By its own claim, the coin count is ~210.7M and nobody can change that. That's ETC marketing itself, so don't take it as verified. But a fixed supply is the one claim on the page you can check yourself.
The same feed says devs keep the same stack on Chain ID 61: Hardhat, Foundry, viem, wagmi. They swap the RPC and the code stays the same. That's a low-friction reason to keep building on it, and nothing in today's news gives sellers a reason to stay in control.
$ETC trades at $8.79 right now. If it holds $8.48, the 24h low, I think it goes back and retests $9.2, today's high. If it loses $8.48, I'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend. If you're already in, that level is your exit, not a spot to average down.
$TIA is down 9.78% on the week and still up 21.18% on the month, and I think the dip is the part worth buying.
it trails BTC by 10 points over 7 days but beats it by 17.1 points over 30. that reads like a pullback inside a bigger move, not a broken coin.
volume over the last 5 days is running 1.39x the 20 days before it, and daily RSI is 53, so nothing is overheated. the daily MACD histogram is still negative, so this isn't a clean setup. the screener gave it 9 out of 14, not a 12.
$TIA trades at $0.444 right now. if it holds the daily EMA20 at $0.4363, I think it goes back for the $0.4915 high, about 10.7% above. if it loses $0.4363, I'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend. anyone long would be watching a 7-day slide turn into a real breakdown.
$ICP is up 4.43% on the week at $3.32, and the story people keep skipping is that its contracts can hold and spend Bitcoin without a bridge.
Every bridge hack you read about was a bridge. Dfinity's pitch is that there's no bridge to hack. BSC News ran that next to a UNDP and Dfinity sovereign AI pilot for governments. the pilot is Dfinity's own claim with a UN agency name attached, so i'd call it real but early.
What smells: those headlines are a month old and the coin is still $3.32. a chain with a UN pilot and native Bitcoin shouldn't trade like nobody noticed. i think that gap closes up.
$ICP trades at $3.32 right now, inside a 24h range of $3.17 to $3.35. if it holds $3.17, i think it takes out $3.35 and keeps going. if it loses $3.17, i'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend, and anyone already positioned eats a break under today's low.
$APE is up 11.1% in 24h and the last 5 days of volume run 2.31x the 20 days before. that's a move with people behind it.
it tagged $0.191 today, the 10-day swing high, then gave some back. i read that as a first test, not a rejection. over 30 days it's +22.33%, 13.0 points ahead of BTC.
the screener scores it 9 out of 14. not a 12, so i won't dress it up. daily RSI is 62 and MACD is still positive, so it isn't stretched yet.
breakouts that get tested and hold tend to run again.
$APE trades at $0.165 right now. if it holds $0.1541, yesterday's high and now support, i think it goes back for $0.191. if it loses $0.1541, i'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend. anyone long from here is already about 6.5% down by then.
$WLD is up 15.98% on the week, and the feed behind it is all one pitch: proof you're a human. i'm calling it higher.
world network's own posts say World ID now has a Zoom product, that Tinder added it in Japan, and that AgentKit lets an AI agent prove it acts for a real person. that's the project describing itself, so i'm not treating any of it as verified. but they're names people know, and the story is one sentence long.
simple pitches get bought first. the chart gets ahead of usage, and the bet is that the Zoom and Tinder headlines keep showing up before anyone checks the usage numbers.
$WLD trades at $0.5405 right now, inside a 24h range of $0.4912 to $0.5901. if it holds $0.5405, i think it goes back for the $0.5901 high and takes it. if it loses $0.4912, i'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend. anyone holding through that has given back the whole day's move.
$HBAR volume over the last 5 days is 4.36x the 20 days before that, and the coin is down only 0.7% on the day. that's a dip getting bought, not a fade.
it's up 7.47% on the week and 37.89% on the month. that's 6.7 points ahead of BTC on 7d and 28.3 points ahead on 30d. daily RSI is 60 and the MACD histogram is positive. there's still room before it looks stretched.
the screener scores it 8 out of 14. that's a decent setup, not a perfect one, and I'm not dressing it up as more. my read is that the volume came in for a reason and one quiet red day doesn't undo it.
right now $HBAR trades at $0.1029. if it holds yesterday's low at $0.10165, I think it goes back to yesterday's high at $0.1072, about 4.2% above spot. if it loses $0.10165, I'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend. anyone long takes the loss, and the volume was just noise.
$MORPHO is up 5.0% on the day at $2.62, and the best argument for it is what happened when a market got tested.
Pendle's reUSD PT price dropped 3% and liquidations hit a Morpho market. Pendle says it was not an oracle error. So a plain 3% move, no bug, and the system did its job. Lending markets that get through a boring wobble like that are the ones curators trust with real size.
The size is showing up. Sentora launched a PYUSD-backed vault on Morpho using Huma Finance's PST token. Builders choosing the rails is a better signal than any announcement from the team.
What smells: someone still got liquidated, and the risk lives in the collateral each vault picks. Morpho the protocol held up. The vault operators are the weak link.
$MORPHO trades at $2.62 right now, inside a 24h range of $2.46 to $2.7. If it holds $2.46, i think it goes back and tests $2.7 while the vault story keeps pulling builders in. If it loses $2.46, i'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend. Anyone who bought today gives back the whole day.
$DOT is up 3.46% on the week at $1.22, and the reason I care is the boring one: Polkadot stopped auctioning parachain slots and started renting blockspace.
That's the BSC News framing, and I buy it. A rental model means a project pays for the blockspace it uses. It doesn't have to win an auction to get a seat. That's a business model, not a lottery.
The same feed shows a restructure of staking parameters and a public Products Devnet for testing future features. Plenty is shipping. The open question is whether anyone rents the blockspace, and I think the tape is already leaning yes.
$DOT trades at $1.22 right now, inside a 24h range of $1.16 to $1.24. If it holds $1.16, I think it pushes through $1.24 and keeps climbing. If it loses $1.16, I'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend. Anyone long gives back the whole day's range for nothing.
$MEGA is up 30.06% over 30 days and still 17.9 points ahead of BTC across that window. a coin that's finished doesn't do that.
volume over the last 5 days is running 2.01x the 20 days before it. when volume doubles and price holds instead of dumping, someone is buying the dips, and i'd rather stand on that side.
the daily 20 EMA is above the 50, the MACD histogram is positive, RSI is 62. that's a trend with room, not a stretched one. the screener scored it 9 out of 14, which is a good setup and not a perfect one.
$MEGA trades at $0.04788 right now. if it holds the 24h low of $0.04615, i think it grinds back up toward yesterday's high at $0.0557. if it loses the daily EMA20 at $0.0431047, i'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend. that's 10.3% below spot, and that's what a long from here pays for being early.
$ALICE volume over the last 5 days is 5.59x the 20 days before that, and the price is only up 10.57% on the week.
that gap is the whole story. money showed up before the move finished. it's up 34.09% over 30 days, 22.4 points ahead of BTC, and daily RSI sits at 60, so it isn't stretched yet.
the screener scores it 9 out of 14. that's not a 12 and i won't dress it up. but the daily stack is lined up and both the daily and 4H MACD are positive.
$ALICE trades at $0.1783 right now. if it holds yesterday's low at $0.1662, i think it walks back up to the 10-day swing high at $0.2467, which is 38.8% away. if it loses $0.1662, i'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend, and anyone long is already 6.5% down from here.
$SKY is up 16.79% on the week and the move has a reason behind it, not just a bounce.
Sky's own account says Galaxy put sUSDS on its corporate treasury balance sheet and approved it as eligible collateral across its institutional trading. That's Sky's claim about itself, and Galaxy sat down for interviews about it, which tells me they're proud of it. A yield-bearing stablecoin doing collateral duty at a trading desk is a real use, and it's more than a logo on a slide.
Sky also says Spark is leading onchain lending, and that USDS supply is expanding again. Stablecoin demand is the engine here. $SKY is the token that sits on top of that engine.
What smells: all of this is the project's own posting, and a token can lag a good story for a long time. I'd still rather own the story than fade it.
$SKY trades at $0.08452 right now, with a 24h range of $0.07708 to $0.08654. If it holds $0.07708, I think it goes back and takes the $0.08654 high. If it loses $0.07708, I'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend. Anyone holding through that has to take the loss.
solid collateral story or just a good week of posting, and is $0.07708 holding?
$UNI is up 58.59% in 30 days and it's sitting on a floor instead of giving the move back.
yesterday's high at $9.257 broke and now it's acting as support. that's the only level i care about here. the 7d is -3.63%, so it's lagging BTC by 6.7 points this week, but it's still 46.6 points ahead over 30d. that reads like a pause inside a big month, not a top.
the weak spot is volume. the last 5 days run at 0.69x the 20 days before, and the daily MACD histogram is still negative. setup score is 8 out of 14, not a 12, and i'm not going to dress it up.
$UNI trades at $9.3 right now, inside a 24h range of $8.73 to $9.32. if it holds $9.257, i think it runs to the 10-day swing high at $10.942, which is 17.7% away. if it loses $9.257, i'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend. anyone long gives back the breakout and is holding a failed retest.
$PEPE is up 2.8% on the day and the 24h low of $0.00000426 hasn't broken. that's the whole story right now.
its news feed is a fight. one headline says whales are accumulating. another says the official website was compromised, and another says confidence is dropping. the price picked a side anyway, and it's the buyers'.
the site hack is the kind of bad news that should have dumped it. it didn't. when bad news can't push a coin under its daily low, I read that as sellers running out.
$PEPE trades at $0.00000442 right now. if it holds $0.00000426, I think it retests the 24h high of $0.00000448 and goes through it. if it loses $0.00000426, I'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend. anyone holding from here eats that drop with me.
$ONDO is up 44.51% over 30 days and sitting at $0.4921 after a soft week. that's a coin catching its breath, not one breaking.
the 7d number (-5.71%) is what scares people. the tape underneath says otherwise: daily MACD histogram is still positive, RSI is 58 so there's room to run, and the last 5 days of volume are 1.32x the 20 days before. sellers aren't getting paid for pushing it. against BTC it's still +35.1 points on 30d.
pullbacks inside a 30 day run are rent, not eviction.
$ONDO trades at $0.4921 right now, with a 24h low of $0.4842. if it holds that low, i think it goes back to yesterday's high at $0.526, 6.9% above spot. setup score is 8 out of 14, so it's a decent setup and not a lock. if it loses yesterday's low at $0.4773, i'm wrong and there's nothing to defend. that's about 3.0% below spot, and it's the line where a long stops being a pullback and becomes a bag.
$AAVE is up 14.27% on the week, and the only headline on its page with Aave's own name on it is V4 pulling institutional interest.
the rest of that feed is Chainlink, Coinbase and a liquidation recap. those are other coins' stories. V4 is the one that belongs to Aave, and the price is already acting like it knows.
the fair pushback: interest isn't deposits. nobody has shown me a number for what institutions actually put in. so I'm not paying for the headline, I'm paying for how the price holds up after a +5.5% day.
$AAVE trades at $167.01 right now, inside a 24h range of $157.7 to $171.52. if it holds $157.7, i think it takes another run at $171.52 and the week keeps going. if it loses $157.7, i'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend, and anyone who bought today's move gives the whole day back.
$ARB is up 82.25% in 30 days and still down 7.11% on the week. I read that as a pause inside a big run, not a top.
Over the month it's 72.6 points ahead of BTC. The week handed back 7.7 of those points, and five slow days don't erase a month like that.
The slow part is the tell. Volume over the last 5 days is 0.56x the 20 days before, so nobody is chasing it down. The Elara upgrade, which adds transaction blocking for enterprise chains, gives the run a reason to exist. Setup score is 8 out of 14. That's decent, not a screamer, and I'm not dressing it up.
$ARB trades at $0.201 right now. If it holds yesterday's low at $0.1996, I think it walks back up to yesterday's high at $0.2124, about 5.6% away. If it loses $0.1996, I'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend. Anyone long would be holding a pullback that turned into a reversal.
