$BTC Last night, once the midterm election results were in, BTC violently surged 7% straight to $81,000!!!

ETH was even stronger, jumping 10% in one go to around $2,450.

This isn’t an ordinary rebound—it’s a full-blown short squeeze!

But the sharper the rally, the more you should avoid chasing it. Bulls need to absorb profit-taking.

The market is at a key decision point now. Chasing the highs can easily put you on the back foot, so be patient and wait for a pullback to enter long. That gives you a much better risk-reward ratio.

The liquidation picture is even more interesting: the heatmap shows thick liquidation bands above BTC at 80,740–82,300,

and above ETH at 2,426–2,483. As long as key support below holds,

the path of least resistance—and strongest momentum—is upward, as the market “clears out short stops.”

But don’t get the wrong idea: this move is essentially a confluence of leverage-driven factors: “deeply oversold conditions + election-related bad news fully priced in + a 140-million short squeeze.” It’s not fresh money flowing into ETFs; ETFs are still seeing outflows.

The move is sharp, but its staying power depends on how support holds up in a retest. Keep positions small and discipline strict.

My plan is still to buy the dip: for BTC, I’ll wait for signs of stabilization around 79,200–79,800.

For ETH, I’ll wait for stabilization around 2,360–2,390.

🚨 Binance reveals preliminary report on $6.34 billion hack: From fake job interviews to wallet signing systems, AI also became a tool for attackers!
Binance’s latest investigation report has uncovered the attack chain behind this security incident.
This was not a simple phishing attack, but a targeted infiltration of internal infrastructure that lasted nearly two months.
Here are the four most alarming details:
1️⃣ Fake job interview served as the point of entry
In September this year, an engineer took part in a fake job interview and downloaded a project containing malicious code, compromising their work computer.
2️⃣ Internal AI tools used to expand access
On October 20, the attackers further exploited the compromised device and internal AI tools to gain system access to other wallet engineers’ accounts.
This means AI can not only improve work efficiency, but also become a tool for hackers to expand the scope of their attacks.
3️⃣ Credentials stolen to attack the wallet signing system
On October 29, the attackers used stolen credentials to deploy malicious containers and gain unauthorized access to the internal wallet signing service.
They then used Ethereum’s EIP-7702 authorization mechanism to delegate execution permissions for some accounts to smart contracts controlled by the attackers.
More importantly, pausing withdrawals cannot immediately revoke malicious on-chain authorizations that have already been established.
4️⃣ Binance launches fund interception and asset replenishment
According to the report:
Approximately $6.34 billion in assets were involved
Approximately $2.85 billion has been frozen or intercepted
As of October 31, 98% of affected token assets had been replenished
Binance has set aside more than enough funds to cover the total losses
The investigation is ongoing, and the technical conclusions are still subject to independent review.
True security isn’t about how much can be reimbursed after a theft, but whether strong enough defenses can be built before an attack occurs.
