Different projects are trying to solve completely different problemsโand that's what makes comparing them interesting.
$LINK #Link ๐ Chainlink helps blockchains access information from outside their own networks. Things like asset prices, market data and other real-world information need reliable ways to reach smart contracts.
$FIL ๐ Filecoin takes a different approach by focusing on decentralized data storage. Instead of relying entirely on traditional centralized servers, the network creates a marketplace for storing data.
$INJ โก Injective is built around decentralized finance and trading infrastructure. Its ecosystem focuses heavily on applications involving financial markets and on-chain trading.
So we have three different areas:
๐ Data for blockchains โ LINK ๐ Decentralized storage โ FIL โก On-chain finance โ INJ
That's the bigger picture I like to watch.
Price moves get attention, but understanding what a project is actually building can make the crypto market much easier to follow.
Crypto is a huge market, and sometimes the most interesting projects aren't even competing in the same category.
Take these three:
$ATOM โ๏ธ Cosmos focuses on helping different blockchains communicate and operate across an interconnected ecosystem. Interoperability remains one of crypto's biggest long-term challenges.
$RNDR
๐ฅ๏ธ Render is built around decentralized GPU computing. As demand for graphics processing and AI infrastructure grows, projects connecting blockchain with computing resources have created an interesting narrative.
$IMX ๐ฎ Immutable is focused on blockchain gaming infrastructure. Instead of asking whether every individual crypto game will succeed, IMX represents a broader bet on the infrastructure supporting Web3 gaming.
๐ Three altcoins, three completely different stories.
$AAVE is getting attention again after a recent move higher, with the protocol's AI/agent integrations adding a newer narrative around an already established DeFi project.
$DOT has a different kind of catalyst. Recent activity around governance, the dotUSD proposal and ongoing JAM development is putting Polkadot back on the radar for traders who follow ecosystem developments rather than just price.
Then there's SUI.
$SUI I has continued to appear on the broader September crypto event calendar, keeping it on the list of ecosystems worth monitoring as new developments and market liquidity rotate through altcoins.
What I like about this group is that they're not all moving for the same reason.
One is DeFi + AI. One is governance + infrastructure. One is ecosystem growth.
That makes the charts worth watching from more than just a price perspective.
๐ Some serious moves are showing up on the 24-hour leaderboard. One pair is miles ahead of the rest: ้พ่พUSDT: +131.69% The other major gainers include: $LSK : +74.09% $GRIFFAIN : +40.76% ALCHUSDT: +34.50% KOMAUSDT: +30.61% FLOCKUSDT: +30.15% ๆ่ธ้ฉฌๆฅไบUSDT: +28.21% $REZ : +27.20% ๅๅบ็ฑณUSDT: +19.28% ILVUSDT: +17.40% But huge green candles can change the game. At some point, traders stop asking โHow far can this go?โ and start asking โWho is buying this late?โ That doesn't mean a strong mover can't continue higher. It means momentum and risk can rise at the same time. REZ is especially worth noting because it also appeared in my momentum scan with an RSI above 84. A +27.20% daily move combined with such a high RSI makes it one of the more extreme readings on today's list. ๐ Which of these would you be watching most closely?
๐ My latest September 12 scan is some very different momentum profiles.
$REZ is the obvious outlier: RSI 84.26 with a +7.18% trend. That's extreme momentum territory, so the interesting question isn't simply whether buyers are strongโitโs whether the move can continue without a cooling-off period.
$MINA is more balanced at RSI 57.24 / +5.48%, while TREE sits at 68.33 / +4.42%.
SOPH is almost neutral at 50.00 RSI, with a +3.00% trend.
Then there's UNI at 51.62, WLFI at 57.33, $PEPE
at 62.50, GRAM at 58.06, THE at 68.75, and INJ at 53.11.
What stands out to me is the difference between RSI strength and trend strength.
A high RSI can show strong buying pressure, but it can also mean the move is becoming stretched.
๐ Not everything moving today is bullish momentum.
The second side of my September 12 scan looks very different.
$VTHO has a +5.79% trend, but its RSI is only 42.33.
็ๆฅUSDT is at 37.22 RSI / +4.78% trend, while FF sits at 43.25 / +3.70%.
$PROM is 45.15 RSI / +2.62%.
Then things get much more extreme.
$DOT is showing RSI 23.68, while XPLUSDT is down at just 17.20 RSI. Those are heavily depressed readings despite both still showing positive trend numbers in this scan.
๐งญ a quieter story among some of the larger names.
Not every interesting market signal comes from the biggest percentage move.
$ETH
Price: $2,511.27 RSI: 56.10 Trend: +0.93%
ETH is holding an RSI above 50, but the trend reading remains relatively modest. That suggests positive momentum without the kind of acceleration seen in stronger-moving altcoins.
$POL
Price: $0.09716 RSI: 58.36 Trend: +0.23%
POL has a slightly higher RSI than ETH, yet the trend is barely moving. A good example of why RSI alone shouldn't be used to judge the strength of a move.
$BNB
Price: $725.68 RSI: 62.11 Trend: +0.02%
BNB has the highest RSI of this group, but almost no trend movement in the scan.
That's the interesting contrast.
๐ BNB leads on RSI. ๐ ETH leads on trend. โ๏ธ POL sits between the two.
Different indicators. Different stories.
Sometimes the strongest-looking number isn't the one telling the whole story.
๐ The latest scan gave me three very different momentum profiles.
$RAY is clearly leading this group.
At $1.685, its RSI sits at 58.65, while the trend reading is +8.13%. That's a much stronger trend figure than the other two, making RAY the obvious momentum leader from this scan.
$ETHFI is more measured.
Price: $0.677 RSI: 53.04 Trend: +2.92%
The numbers are positive, but without the same acceleration seen in RAY. Sometimes that difference matters more than simply looking for the highest RSI.
Then there is $SOL .
At $102.28, SOL has the highest RSI of the three at 60.65, yet its trend reading is only +0.13% in this scan.
So which signal would you trust more?
๐ RAY โ strongest trend โ๏ธ ETHFI โ balanced readings ๐ฅ SOL โ strongest RSI
Different numbers can tell different stories, which is why I prefer comparing momentum instead of looking at one indicator alone.
๐ Strong jobs. Rising inflation concerns. And now the Fed decision is getting closer.
The latest U.S. nonfarm payrolls report came in much stronger than expected, with employers adding 162,000 jobs in August, compared with forecasts of around 56,000. That immediately gave the market another reason to question whether the Federal Reserve will hold ratesโor hike again.
For crypto, this matters.
A more aggressive Fed can put pressure on risk assets, while a decision to hold could give markets some breathing room.
So I'm watching three very different names:
$BTC ๐ โ The market's biggest macro barometer. If risk appetite changes after the Fed decision, Bitcoin will likely be one of the first charts traders watch.
$ZEC ๐ฃ โ Privacy coins have recently attracted renewed attention, making ZEC an interesting alternative narrative if capital continues rotating through the altcoin market.
$BNB ๐ก โ A major ecosystem token that can tell its own story beyond the broader BTC market.
My view?
I'm leaning cautiously bullish, but CPI and the Fed could change the mood quickly.
The jobs data was strong. Inflation remains the bigger question.
The interesting thing about crypto is that three major names can attract attention for completely different reasons.
$ASTER
This one has a strong ecosystem story around on-chain perpetual trading, and its recent tokenomics update extended the team allocation cliff by 12 months. That changes the near-term supply picture and gives traders another factor to watch alongside price and volume.
$XRP
XRP remains one of the most heavily watched large-cap altcoins. With a market this sensitive to liquidity and macro sentiment, its reaction during major moves can provide a useful read on broader altcoin appetite.
$BNB
BNB sits at the center of the Binance ecosystem, so its performance can be interesting to watch when activity across the exchange and BNB Chain picks up. Recent market research has also highlighted BNB's position among the largest crypto assets.
Three different narratives.
One ecosystem token. One major payment-focused asset. One exchange-chain heavyweight.
Which one would you rather hold through the next major market move?
๐ Some RSI readings in the latest Binance Futures scan are getting hard to ignore.
Three pairs especially caught my eye:
$IOST โ RSI 29.23 | Trend +4.73%
IOST is already below the traditional 30 RSI level while still showing a positive trend reading. That's a setup where Iโd be watching the next move closely rather than assuming either continuation or reversal.
$BCH โ RSI 8.00 | Trend +4.54%
This is the extreme one.
An RSI of 8 is exceptionally low. It signals very heavy recent selling pressure, but it does not guarantee an immediate bounce. Sometimes extreme conditions become even more extreme.
$DUSK โ RSI 36.96 | Trend +4.02%
DUSK isn't as stretched as BCH or IOST, but it still sits below the 40 RSI level while maintaining a relatively strong trend reading.
Three charts.
Three different degrees of weakness.
The interesting part isn't simply finding the lowest RSI.
A fresh Binance Futures scan produced an interesting split.
$KAVA is the outlier:
RSI 56.04 Trend +2.11%
Meanwhile, the next three show much weaker momentum:
$RVN โ RSI 31.11 | Trend +10.13%
ONGUSDT โ RSI 44.35 | Trend +6.17%
$DASH โ RSI 28.30 | Trend +4.90%
Here's what makes this worth noticing.
KAVA has an RSI above 50, while the other three are sitting below it. RVN also has the strongest trend reading of the group, yet its RSI remains near oversold territory.
That creates a very different picture across these charts.
Strong trend doesn't automatically mean bullish continuation.
Likewise, a low RSI doesn't automatically mean a reversal is coming.
The next price action has to decide which signal matters.
๐ The market scan is showing pressure on several altcoins
These three pairs stand outโnot because their RSI is strong, but because the numbers point in the opposite direction.
$SOPH
RSI: 27.79 Trend: 10.76%
SOPH has the strongest trend reading in this bearish scan, while its RSI has dropped below 30. That combination suggests significant recent weakness, although extremely low RSI readings can also make conditions more sensitive to a potential bounce.
$MARSCOIN
RSI: 32.63 Trend: 9.63%
Another strong trend reading, with RSI sitting close to oversold territory. The next question is whether selling pressure continues or begins to lose strength.
$ARB
RSI: 36.15 Trend: 3.49%
ARB is showing less extreme weakness than the first two, but its RSI remains below 40. For now, momentum still appears tilted toward the sellers.
The important lesson here:
Low RSI doesn't automatically mean "buy."
A market can remain weak longer than traders expect, especially when broader momentum continues in the same direction.
๐ Not every pair on a market scan is there to give you a trade.
Two pairs from the latest data stood out for a completely different reason:
$RLUSD โ RSI 52.98 | Trend 0.00%
$USDC โ RSI 55.87 | Trend 0.00%
At first glance, the RSI readings might suggest some movement.
But the trend reading tells a different story: 0.00%.
That's a useful reminder for traders.
One indicator rarely tells the full story.
RSI measures recent momentum based on price movements, but it doesn't automatically confirm a meaningful trend. That's why looking at multiple signals matters.
A reading above 50 doesn't mean a coin is guaranteed to continue higher.
And a single positive signal doesn't automatically create a setup.
The lesson from these two pairs is simple:
Context matters more than one number.
Before making a trading decision, compare momentum with trend, price structure, volume and the wider market.
โ๏ธ NEAR vs ZEC ๐ฅโ the numbers are surprisingly close
Sometimes a market scan doesn't give you one obvious winner.
This is one of those cases.
NEARUSDT RSI: 50.20 Trend: +2.61%
$NEAR ๐ฅ currently has the slightly stronger trend, but its RSI is sitting almost exactly around the neutral 50 zone. That suggests momentum is present, but not yet particularly strong.
ZECUSDT RSI: 53.75 Trend: +2.53%
$ZEC is almost identical on trend, while its RSI is slightly higher. That could indicate stronger short-term buying pressure compared with NEAR.
The difference is small:
๐ Trend leader: NEAR โก RSI leader: ZEC
Neither one is dramatically ahead.
And that's exactly what makes the comparison interesting.
๐ฅ Momentum is clearly stronger in a few Binance Futures pairs today.
Three names stand out from the latest scan:
$IOST โ Trend +26.80% | RSI 62.14 This is the biggest move by far. Trend strength is well ahead of the rest, while RSI has already moved into bullish territory. The interesting question is whether momentum can keep expanding or starts cooling off.
$KAT โ Trend +7.80% | RSI 59.72 A strong second-place trend reading with RSI still below 60. That's a healthier-looking momentum profile than a coin already sitting deep in overbought territory.
$SAHARA โ Trend +2.79% | RSI 69.15 The trend is much smaller, but RSI is the highest of these three. This is where chasing becomes more dangerousโthe momentum is obvious, but so is the possibility of a pullback.
Three very different situations.
IOST has the strongest trend.
KAT has a solid balance between trend and RSI.
SAHARA has the hottest RSI.
Which one has the most interesting setup right now?
๐ฆ The U.S. Treasury is stepping back into the long-dated bond market.
The Treasury announced plans to buy back up to $6 billion in 10- to 20-year government bonds in an operation scheduled for September 10.
That figure is significant because it is larger than previous long-dated buyback operations and comes after a major rise in Treasury yields.
So why should markets care?
When long-term Treasury yields rise sharply, borrowing costs across the economy can feel the pressure. Mortgage rates, corporate borrowing and broader financial conditions can all be affected.
The buyback is also aimed at improving liquidity by purchasing older, less actively traded securities.
But here's the part markets are debatingโ
Will $6 billion actually be enough to calm the bond market?
Initial reactions appeared mixed, with yields continuing to face upward pressure after the announcement.
For crypto traders, this is another reminder that macro liquidity doesn't stop at the stock market.
Treasury yields, inflation expectations and interest-rate expectations can eventually influence risk appetite across global marketsโincluding crypto.
The bond market may not be the loudest part of finance.
But when it moves hard, everything else tends to notice.
Brent crude climbed above $100 per barrel today as renewed fighting and attacks on energy infrastructure intensified concerns about oil supply disruptions in the Middle East.
And this isn't just an oil story.
Higher crude prices can ripple through the wider market:
โข โฝ Higher fuel and transport costs โข ๐ More inflation pressure โข ๐ฆ Potential pressure on interest-rate expectations โข ๐ Increased volatility across global markets
The key issue now is whether this move above $100 becomes temporaryโor whether supply disruptions keep oil elevated for longer.
Markets are watching energy flows closely, especially after months of disruption and reduced supply from the region.
For crypto traders, macro events like this matter too.
Rising inflation fears and changes in interest-rate expectations can influence risk appetite across stocks, commodities and crypto.
So while everyone is watching Bitcoin charts, don't ignore what is happening in the energy market.
$100 oil could become a much bigger macro story if supply pressure continues.
