We successfully completed the airdrop for the first 99 users at emberchat.xyz . This event achieved the following goals:
1. Stress-tested the app under a sudden surge of users to confirm it remains stable and responsive.
2. Validated the $ICP in-app currency, which performed smoothly across deposits, transfers, tips, premium purchases, and withdrawals.
3. Laid the foundation for a global P2P digital product marketplace, featuring decentralized chatting, publishing, stories, and local friend discovery.
—> Last but not least, everyone can use the platform for free. We don’t rely on external revenue and are fully able to maintain and operate the service ourselves.

Ember Chat – Key Features Overview

1. Location-Based Local Chat
Enable location permissions, then open the Messages (Chat) tab to discover and connect with people nearby in your district. You can start conversations instantly with users in your local area.

2. Send Payments and Pay Bills in Chat
In the default mode, you can send ICP directly to other users. For bill payments, switch to $ mode: enter the amount in your preferred currency, and the app automatically calculates and processes the equivalent ICP amount for seamless payment.

3. Sell Digital Products with Premium Articles
Write and publish your content, then enable Premium mode and set your own price. Readers can preview approximately 30% of the article for free. Full access requires payment of your set price, allowing creators to monetize digital products and written work directly.

4. Rich Media in Articles
Enhance your posts with media:
- Upload short videos (up to 60 seconds) directly.
- For longer videos, embed content by pasting links from YouTube, X, TikTok, or Facebook into the embed box.

5. Stories for Self-Introduction
Share temporary Stories with images and captions. Stories automatically disappear after 3 days. Viewers can react, chat, or forward directly from your Story.

6. Referral Program
The standard platform fee is 8%. When you successfully refer users, you earn a 1% share of the fee (equal to 12.5% of the total platform fee), while the platform retains 7%. Referral earnings are tracked in your wallet.

7. Visibility Based on Earnings
High-performing creators and content receive greater visibility. If you rank among the top earners or your posts are among the highest-earning content, you and your work are prominently featured on the main page. Top authors can appear in both categories.

8. Rating Writers
To rate a writer, you must first purchase their premium content and tip them at least 10 #icp . After refreshing the page, you can leave a review and rate the article or profile from 1 to 5 stars. Each user may rate any given author only once.

Never feel bored with Ember Chat. The Users Nearby feature always puts the closest people first, so your next conversation is just a tap away. #chat #web3 #Decentralization #ICP

There is recent data supporting roughly that gap on one specific metric, but it is not a fixed or universal fact for #icp and #sol

Thank #Indonesian friends! We just add Indonesian language to the supporting language list so you guys can refer your friends to find users nearby to chat on-chain and earn 12.5% of the platform fee. #Pakistan uses $ICP #blockchain for their national chat app; you can do it as well with our platform. We are even better with decentralized publishing and #ICP as the in-app currency. When users send/ withdraw ICP to others; they have the option to input $ value to send the amount of ICP, which is convenient for daily payment. 🤝

The Internet Computer (#icp ) network just turned 5 years old. To mark the occasion, the team is previewing something called “cloud engines” — a new way for people (and AI) to create their own highly secure, independent cloud environments. https://inkwellpublish.xyz/article/61

A massive theft happened through a compromised laptop and internal systems, #Binance is covering the losses and freezing what it can, and Elon used the moment to say that unknown security holes are now a constant fact of life in software. https://inkwellpublish.xyz/article/60

If Binance had used ICP infrastructure properly for its hot wallets, this specific hack would have been far harder (and likely prevented). https://inkwellpublish.xyz/article/59

Cloud engine sovereignty on #ICP refers to the ability for individuals, companies, or governments to run their applications and services on a cloud that they fully control — in terms of who operates the hardware, where the nodes are physically located, and the rules that govern the system — without being locked into a single foreign cloud provider. https://inkwellpublish.xyz/article/58
