Ember Chat – Key Features Overview
1. Location-Based Local Chat
Enable location permissions, then open the Messages (Chat) tab to discover and connect with people nearby in your district. You can start conversations instantly with users in your local area.
2. Send Payments and Pay Bills in Chat
In the default mode, you can send ICP directly to other users. For bill payments, switch to $ mode: enter the amount in your preferred currency, and the app automatically calculates and processes the equivalent ICP amount for seamless payment.
3. Sell Digital Products with Premium Articles
Write and publish your content, then enable Premium mode and set your own price. Readers can preview approximately 30% of the article for free. Full access requires payment of your set price, allowing creators to monetize digital products and written work directly.
4. Rich Media in Articles
Enhance your posts with media:
- Upload short videos (up to 60 seconds) directly.
- For longer videos, embed content by pasting links from YouTube, X, TikTok, or Facebook into the embed box.
5. Stories for Self-Introduction
Share temporary Stories with images and captions. Stories automatically disappear after 3 days. Viewers can react, chat, or forward directly from your Story.
6. Referral Program
The standard platform fee is 8%. When you successfully refer users, you earn a 1% share of the fee (equal to 12.5% of the total platform fee), while the platform retains 7%. Referral earnings are tracked in your wallet.
7. Visibility Based on Earnings
High-performing creators and content receive greater visibility. If you rank among the top earners or your posts are among the highest-earning content, you and your work are prominently featured on the main page. Top authors can appear in both categories.
8. Rating Writers
To rate a writer, you must first purchase their premium content and tip them at least 10 #icp . After refreshing the page, you can leave a review and rate the article or profile from 1 to 5 stars. Each user may rate any given author only once.
