A screenshot of Codex usage showed gpt-6.2-astra accounting for 19.8% of one account’s usage. Under SEC disclosure rules, Anthropic’s IPO roadshow cannot begin before November 10.

The company raised net proceeds of $164 million through sales of common stock, its only new equity funding during that period. A separate $4.79 billion U.S. dollar reserve is designated for preferred stock dividends and debt interest, rather than broader treasury management purposes.
New Jersey securities regulators have lifted restrictions on Coinbase’s staking services and a $5 million fine, allowing Coinbase to restore access to those services for state residents. The October 30 notice rescinded a 2023 order but does not affect future enforcement actions or rule on the merits of the case. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said New Jersey customers would be able to resume staking “soon.” California, Maryland, Wisconsin, and Washington are still pursuing enforcement actions against Coinbase’s staking services.

Swan Bitcoin founder Cory Klippsten warns that AI poses a more immediate threat to Bitcoin security than quantum computing, as hackers increasingly use large language models to find vulnerabilities. Klippsten estimates that quantum computers capable of cracking Bitcoin’s cryptography are at least a decade away, and could take even longer to arrive. Brazilian exchange Mercado Bitcoin suspended deposits and withdrawals on Monday following a security incident; researchers estimate that more than $46 million has already been transferred out of the exchange’s wallets. Klippsten warned cryptocurrency companies against using hastily developed software to protect customer assets.

North Korea has denied responsibility for the $6.3 billion hack of Binance, calling the FBI’s investigation fabricated. Binance said its reserves had covered about 95% of customers’ losses, after which it resumed cryptocurrency withdrawals. U.S. President Donald Trump said Saturday that the United States was unsure whether North Korea was responsible.
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin said he had used the command-line wallet kohaku-cli to make many payments involving privacy protocols. In an article published on October 31, Buterin also introduced another AI-written tool for updating IPFS content hashes on ENS. The kohaku-cli documentation warns that the application has not been audited and that using it on mainnet could result in catastrophic loss of funds. Keeping the application locally lets users control software updates, but dependencies and signing permissions remain separate risks. A prepared unshielding operation on Railgun may already be signed even if it has not yet been broadcast by the wallet.
