If you’ve got the Open Interest (OI) curve down, you’re ahead of the pack. But today, we’re leveling up. Within the OI indicator, there’s a specific metric we can’t overlook: the OINV (Open Interest Notional Value).
The OI tells you how many contracts are open overall, but the OINV reveals how money is being injected. It’s the true speed and strength filter. Without this line, you're trading blind.
If you want to stop guessing and start reading institutional intent, remember these reading rules:
1. OINV as a Breakout Validator
When the price breaks a range or a key structure, the direction of the OINV curve tells you if the breakout is legit or if you’re headed straight for liquidation.
Price breaks + OINV aggressively pointing upwards: High precision confirmation. There’s a steady and heavy capital flow supporting the move. Participation is real and massive.
Price breaks + OINV flat or declining: It's a fake move. Total interest might seem high, but the actual transactional activity doesn’t back the breakout. The algorithm is only interested in hunting the Stops of the impatient before reversing the price.
2. Absorption Detection (Where Institutions Operate)
The OINV is the best detector of passive accumulation and distribution in the futures market.
Price completely flat + OINV rising strongly: Institutions are passively absorbing all the market orders. They’re filling their order blocks without moving the current price. When the OINV line stretches while the price remains still, something big is about to happen.
3. Behavior Analysis:
Divergent OINV: If the price is rising but the OINV line starts to fall, the trend has lost its real support. Lock in profits or activate your Trailing Stop.
OINV at Climax: A vertical and isolated spike in the OINV, accompanied by a wick in the price, indicates positions that have just been liquidated. It’s time to look for an Inverse Position.

CRIPTOHUMANO: ANATOMY OF A MORAL LIQUIDATION
For no one is it a secret that alcohol and ego are the worst leverage. Since today is Friday and the body knows it, I bring you the technical analysis of a trade that ended in total liquidation for the one who calls himself "Criptohumano" @CryptoHumanoArt
Here are the facts about his behavior towards @Cortextrading and myself:
1. The Indicator "Alcohol Level" 🍻

This is the phrase that liquidates you, Edi. It is not a criticism of trading; it is a hate attack on a nationality. In my community, xenophobia is an immediate sell order.
3. "Humanism" Made of Cardboard
A lot of "Criptohumano" in the name, but little humanity in actions. He harasses, insults, and threatens those of us who are actually working. He tells me that I have my "ego clouded," but the only one who lost direction (and sobriety) was him.

The most common trap in trading has a name and surname: let's talk about the False Breakout
This term describes an event where the price breaks an important resistance. We enter Long excited because we are almost millionaires and suddenly, the price turns around so quickly that we don't have time to react and we end up like a dictator who thought he was untouchable, crossing a hemisphere in a matter of minutes without understanding what happened... Gud mornin japi niu yiar 🫠
And what happened there? There was no real money backing that rise. 🤷🏻♂️
To avoid this bad moment, we must know an extremely useful tool: The Volume Bar (VOL)
If I had to stick with just one indicator on the entire Binance interface, it would be this one. Volume is the trace that money leaves when it enters or exits the market.
The price can lie, but volume always tells the truth
Green bar: There was more buying pressure and the price closed higher
Red bar: Greater selling pressure and the price closed lower.
Three things you should know:
1. Sales Climax: After a long drop, a giant red bar appears (taller than the previous ones). If after that bar the price stops falling, it means that the Whales absorbed those sales and the floor is near
2. Trend Harmony: In a healthy trend, volume should increase in favor of the movement and decrease during pullbacks. If the price rises and volume decreases, the trend is about to reverse
3. Pro Setup: MA(20)
On Binance, the volume defaults to MA(5) and MA(10). My recommendation is to activate MA(20) (I will leave you a video for its setup)
When using MA(20) on the volume, you are seeing if the current money inflow is above the average of the last complete cycle. If a bar exceeds that average line, the interest is real. If it is below, it is pure noise
