$BNB Visa’s China clearing business has been approved! In short, receiving foreign currencies, using foreign cards, and moving money across borders may soon be a lot less of a hassle. In the past, getting a foreign card meant jumping through hoops: lots of documents, proof of address, and a passport were required, along with high management and transaction fees. Now that the channels are open, there’s no need to search all over the world for a way to get a card. It’ll be easier for people earning US dollars, and the stock market may get a bit more liquidity, too. Pay the taxes you owe, earn your dollars—making money compliantly is the best way.
Don't fall in love with your positions. Anyone who believes in holding is a newbie; the old-timers are already immune. 😂 Only a heartless trader can make a profit—trade as flexibly as water.
The ETF Era Has Made the Old Crypto Trading Playbook Obsolete
I don’t know if you’ve felt this way, but when you look at the crypto market now, it seems like the old playbook suddenly doesn’t work anymore. A few years ago, trading crypto was pretty straightforward. When the market surged on rising volume, the pattern was BTC sucking up liquidity → ETH catching up → high-value or trending coins quickly following suit → altcoins joining the party. You could pick any popular coin, hold it for a while, and probably make a decent gain. When the market fell, funds fled across the board, and Bitcoin and smaller coins plunged together. The whole market moved up or down in unison, making the trend easy to read. But since the dawn of the ETF era, many veteran traders have been lamenting that the old playbook no longer works. The broader market looks range-bound, and Bitcoin isn’t very volatile, yet altcoins are getting absolutely crushed. Sometimes BTC edges up a little, while most smaller coins don’t budge. Many people enter the market using trading strategies from a few years ago, repeatedly buying and selling, only to find that they’re not making money even when the index is up—or that their accounts have already taken a big hit even though the broader market has barely fallen.
Took a look at the market. Looks like I’m eating grass today. Can’t eat with my hands—we’re civilized people, so we have to take it slowly with a fork.
On October 13, according to HTX market data, as Bitcoin pulled back and fell below $82,000, altcoins saw sharp declines, including:
BOME fell 30.04% in 24 hours, currently at $0.000768; BLUR fell 29.48% in 24 hours, currently at $0.01349; STRK fell 28.35% in 24 hours, currently at $0.08599; CKB fell 22.50% in 24 hours, currently at $0.0014796; PONS fell 20.35% in 24 hours, currently at $0.281; USELESS fell 16.82% in 24 hours, currently at $0.16969; ENA fell 15.55% in 24 hours, currently at $0.204; NEAR fell 13.44% in 24 hours, currently at $5.039.
If USELESS drops another 20%, I’m buying in. That’s the thing with memes—they’re useless.
Tesla Sets Date for Second-Generation Roadster Event On October 14, Tesla announced on X that its Roadster event will be livestreamed at 7:55 p.m. Central Time on the 15th (8:55 a.m. Beijing time on the 16th). The event was originally scheduled for October 1 in Waco, Texas, but was postponed due to weather. Tesla first unveiled the second-generation Roadster concept at a launch event in 2017. It was originally positioned as Tesla’s first supercar developed entirely from the ground up. One of the car’s potential highlights, according to earlier reports, could be a thruster system that Musk has discussed publicly: cold-gas thrusters based on SpaceX technology installed in the car. The vehicle may feature around 10 thrusters in the area usually occupied by the rear seats, using changes in airflow and weight distribution to improve acceleration and cornering. It is worth noting that Tesla has not confirmed that the thruster system will make it into production. Over the past year, Musk has discussed the idea publicly several times, but has not announced technical specifications, pricing, or a delivery timeline for models equipped with the feature.
Tesla’s 2026 annual shareholder meeting must be held no later than December 6. While a merger of this kind would bring some financial synergies, its real value lies in the vertical integration of the two companies’ artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
SpaceX and Tesla already have several business ties and overlapping investor groups, and both companies are led by Elon Musk. The rocket manufacturer has purchased more than $100 million worth of Tesla Cybertrucks, while xAI is a major customer for Tesla’s utility-scale batteries.
The two companies are also working together on a chip manufacturing project called Terafab. The project will produce semiconductors for Tesla’s electric vehicles, robotaxis, and Optimus robots, as well as a chip designed exclusively for SpaceX’s orbital AI satellites.
Musk has recently discussed various ways his two largest companies could interact and integrate. On the latest earnings call, for example, he said that Tesla and SpaceX “overlap in many areas.”
The possibility of a Tesla/SpaceX merger has increasingly become the market consensus. Although an announcement of a Tesla/SpaceX merger could be delayed until late October or even early November, if it slips into that window, securing shareholder approval for the acquisition at the annual meeting would become significantly more difficult.
Investors and analysts have long widely expected the two Musk-owned companies to merge, especially after SpaceX completes a record-breaking IPO this year. Reports in January said SpaceX had considered merging with Tesla, but ultimately decided to acquire Musk’s AI startup, xAI.
The main obstacle to any deal would be a shareholder vote, as shareholders of both Tesla and SpaceX may need to approve the merger.
“In the vote at Tesla’s 2025 annual shareholder meeting, about 11% of the total shares eligible to vote were ‘broker non-votes,’ which were effectively counted as ‘against’ votes. We expect Tesla to try to increase shareholder participation in a potential vote on a SpaceX merger.”
Are rate-cut expectations about to “cool off”? U.S. September CPI surges—will the Fed raise rates again in October? What does this mean for the crypto market?
Three key takeaways and their potential impact on the crypto market: 1️⃣ CPI exceeds expectations: Inflation rebounds across the board
* Month-over-month and year-over-year increases: In September, CPI rose 0.6% month over month (up from 0.4%) and 3.7% year over year (up from 3.4%).
* Inflation spreads: Price pressures have spread beyond the energy sector to a wider range of industries, raising concerns that “core” inflation could become entrenched.
* Odds of a rate hike rise: According to CME’s FedWatch Tool, the market-implied probability of a Fed rate hike in October has jumped from 22% to 37%!
2️⃣ Fed officials are divided: Hawkish and dovish voices coexist, while a “wait-and-see” approach prevails
* Daly (President of the San Francisco Fed): Inflation risks remain elevated, and further rate hikes may be needed—although there is no immediate need to act at the October meeting.
* Goolsbee (President of the Chicago Fed): Expressed serious concern about recent upward pressure on prices.
* Bowman (Fed Governor): Believes the Fed still has time to assess the delayed effects of previous rate hikes on the economy and financial markets.
3️⃣ “Beige Book” sounds a warning: Fuel costs are intensifying price pressures
* Labor market: Showing signs of stagnation—new hiring has declined, but layoffs have also fallen. * Regional inflation: Several districts reported “strong” or “accelerating” price increases; meanwhile, persistent uncertainty has also weakened businesses’ optimism about the future. The crypto market’s perspective: What potential impact could this have?
* Short-term liquidity pressures: Rising rate-hike expectations typically push up Treasury yields and the U.S. Dollar Index, potentially creating macroeconomic headwinds for Bitcoin (BTC) and the broader crypto market in the short term.
* Safe-haven and inflation-hedge properties: If high inflation persists and fiat currencies continue to lose purchasing power, the narrative of Bitcoin as “digital gold”—an effective inflation hedge—could regain attention in the market.
