For traders' life experience advice, I have only one thing to say:
Don't get married.
When you have money, there are many troublesome issues.
When you don't have money, there are even more troublesome issues.
So-called intimate relationships with family and friends will only deal you a fatal blow when you are at your weakest, intentionally or unintentionally.
Think about how Jesse Livermore died; his wife dealt him a fatal blow during his last major drawdown. He wasn't defeated by the market, but ended up taking his own life in a hotel with a gun.
After over 40 years in the market and multiple bankruptcies, how could he be taken down? Before he died, he still had over 5 million dollars in his account, in the 1940s!
He couldn't have committed suicide because of the market.
It was all because he got married.
A great trader doesn't need anyone to crowd around him; a quiet and independent environment is the best.
Others are hell.
Friends, do you think there is any truth to this?
