⚽ CAN 2025 Summary of the day: intensity, surprises, and respect earned.
The CAN day lived up to all expectations, with rhythm, combat, and clear lessons.
📌 Results of the day:
Burkina Faso 🇧🇫 – Equatorial Guinea 🇬🇶 : 2-1
A turnaround match, decided in the last 8 minutes. A victory snatched through mental strength, reminding us that nothing is ever guaranteed before the final whistle.
Algeria 🇩🇿 – Sudan 🇸🇩 : 3-0
Clear and unquestionable success. Collective mastery, effectiveness, and consistency: Algeria upheld its status.
Ivory Coast 🇨🇮 – Mozambique 🇲🇿 : victory through struggle
A tough battle. The Elephants prevailed, but had to fight to the end against a tenacious and disciplined Mozambique.
Cameroon 🇨🇲 – Gabon 🇬🇦 : 1-0
A Cameroonian goal in the 6th minute, followed by a locked-down match.
Hats off to Gabon, a robust, united, and mentally strong team that contained Cameroon until the end. Few expected this level of resilience.
My reading: the hierarchy exists, but it no longer protects. The so-called "outsider" teams earn respect through organization and mentality.
In the CAN, holding a score is sometimes more revealing than scoring.
Day followed on Canal+ CAN.
Persistent downside: despite the quality of the matches, viewers continue to report interference and loss of signal at times. A point to improve for a tournament of this level.
The CAN moves forward, the game speaks, and each match sharpens certainties.
A sound mind in a sound body.
Slowly, slowly.
