Marc Zeller, former key member of AAVE, stated that the Aave DAO is the true engine of the protocol's operation, not Avara, which has become an independent company. Over the past three years, key affairs such as risk management, technical upgrades, and ecosystem expansion have been carried out by providers under the DAO, generating substantial revenue for the protocol. Zeller emphasized that if strategic brand assets such as domain names and trademarks are still unilaterally controlled by a private company, it not only undermines the governance power of the DAO but can also harm the equity of the ecosystem and talent retention, jeopardizing the long-term foundations of the entire protocol's development.
