🚨 *The Minister of the Supreme Federal Court* ⚖️
Alexandre de Moraes sought out the president of the Central Bank, Gabriel Galípolo, with the alleged aim of exerting pressure in favor of Banco Master, which was recently closed amid suspicions of billion-dollar irregularities. The information was initially disclosed by journalist Malu Gaspar from the newspaper O Globo, and confirmed by Gazeta do Povo.
The report revealed that Moraes' intervention in favor of the purchase of Banco Master by Banco de Brasília (BRB) has been commented on by ministers of higher courts in Brasília. The law firm of Moraes' wife, Viviane Barci, maintains a service provision contract with Banco Master, with a monthly payment of R$ 3,6
million. According to O Globo, the contract has a duration of three years and could yield around R$ 130 million to the lawyer.
Moraes' contact with Galípolo occurred at a time when the Central Bank had already identified signs of serious irregularities at the institution.
