The third layer is the session identity, and this is where Kite becomes deeply practical. Even an agent should not have unlimited, long-lived authority. So for each task or workflow, the agent can create a session identity. Session keys are random, short-lived, and designed to expire. They exist for one purpose and then disappear.
This means an agent can open a session to complete a single task, such as paying for today’s dataset, interacting with a specific contract, or executing a narrow action. If a session key leaks or is abused, the blast radius is intentionally small. The system assumes failure will happen and designs for containment instead of pretending perfection exists.
When you put these three layers together, something powerful happens. Every action on-chain can be traced clearly. A session acted under an agent, and that agent was authorized by a user. Responsibility becomes visible. Audits become meaningful. Autonomy stops being reckless and starts being accountable.
