A Metaplanet, a Japanese company specialized in Bitcoin treasury, will begin trading its American Depositary Receipts (ADR) in the United States on December 19. The information was disclosed by Foresight News. The shares will be traded under the ticker MPJPY.
ADRs are certificates issued by American financial institutions that represent shares of foreign companies. This mechanism allows investors in the U.S. to access international companies such as those from Japan or Europe directly through American exchanges, without the need to operate in foreign markets.
