At a recent press conference, he made positive remarks about the pro-cryptocurrency Federal Reserve Chairman nominee Chris Waller, while the outside world is still speculating on who he will ultimately choose.

"I think he’s great. I mean, he has been in this position for a long time. I have had deep interactions with him and know his career; he is an outstanding person," Trump said at Thursday's press conference.

Waller has recently been seen as relatively supportive of cryptocurrency. During his speech at the Wyoming Blockchain Symposium held in August 2025, he stated that cryptocurrency payments operating outside the traditional banking system are "nothing to be afraid of."
