"Unconditional ceasefire is impossible," Putin announces conditions for a ceasefire with Ukraine! The head of the Ukrainian delegation has been dismissed, and his residence was searched by anti-corruption agencies; he is a close confidant and friend of Zelensky, who helped him win the presidential election.

On November 28, local time, Ukrainian President Zelensky signed a presidential decree dismissing Andrei Yermak from the position of head of the presidential office. Earlier that day, Zelensky stated that Yermak had submitted a resignation letter.

Earlier that day, Ukraine's anti-corruption agency searched Yermak's residence. Yermak stated that he would "fully cooperate with the investigation." The Ukrainian National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office jointly announced that the search "was authorized" and related to an unspecified investigation. It is understood that earlier this month, these two anti-corruption agencies announced a comprehensive investigation into a bribery case involving $100 million related to the Ukrainian state-owned nuclear energy company, which has implicated multiple former senior officials and Zelensky's former business partners.

Advancing anti-corruption work is one of the core requirements of the EU for Ukraine's application to join.

Yermak, 54, has been a close friend of Zelensky since he was a comedian and helped Zelensky win the presidential election in 2019; he is a key figure in Zelensky's government. Recently, in negotiations between Ukraine and the United States regarding the Russia-Ukraine "peace plan," Yermak served as the head of the Ukrainian delegation and persuaded the U.S. side to agree to significant modifications to the 28-point new plan.

The "28-point plan" has been changed to 19 points with active European involvement.

Previously, on November 23, the U.S. and Ukraine held talks in Geneva, Switzerland, where the U.S. side modified and reduced the 28-point new plan proposed to end the Ukrainian crisis to 19 points. Key modifications in the newly disclosed plan include:

Relaxation of restrictions on the size of the Ukrainian military (the original 28-point plan stipulated that the size of the Ukrainian military be limited to no more than 600,000);

No longer including amnesty for "war crimes" in the Russia-Ukraine conflict;

Issues related to territorial divisions, Ukraine's potential accession to the EU and NATO, and security guarantees for Ukraine have been put on hold.

The European side has also given full attention to the peace plan proposed by the United States. Before the U.S.-Ukraine meeting in Geneva on the 23rd to discuss the peace agreement, national security advisors from the UK, France, and Germany held talks with the Ukrainian side.
