Before a pump, a token typically trends up for several days; it can already double (x2) or even quintuple (x5). If there aren't too many sell-offs in the following days, that's a really good sign. However, you've already missed out on x2 or x5 on something that could have been x50, so now you're only looking at x25 or x10. After that, you hesitate to jump in because you're scared of profit-taking, so you wait for the pump formation with a +100% (which means x2 even less), leaving you with only x12 or x5 if you manage to get in quickly while you're on your phone at that moment 😅 (which is unlikely).
