Interesting comparison from Jan Nieuwenhuijs. 👀
Back in his
$BTC example, the idea was simple:
Buy 1 BTC
Risk: ~$300
Potential: ~$10,000
Now the conversation has shifted to QNT:
Buy 1
$QNT Risk: ~$120
Potential: ~$10,000
The interesting part isn't the $10K number itself.
It's the asymmetric-risk idea behind it.
One BTC and one QNT are obviously very different assets, with completely different market sizes, adoption levels and risk profiles.
But if you're looking at QNT through the same lens, the question becomes:
Could a relatively small position in QNT have an outsized payoff if the Quant thesis around interoperability and institutional adoption plays out?
QNT currently has a limited token supply, and its historical high was around $428.
But turning ~$100 QNT into $10,000 would require roughly a 100× move. That would imply a dramatically larger valuation than today.
So I wouldn't focus only on:
“Can QNT hit $10K?”
The better question is:
“What would need to happen for QNT to deserve that kind of valuation?”
That's where the real research begins.
QNT isn't BTC.
But the asymmetric-risk thesis is worth watching.
Not financial advice. DYOR.
