On the same page, the top 10 holdings are listed as two different numbers: 41% and 87%. So which one is real? 🤔
KOMA is an old BSC dog meme coin that launched in October 2024, billed as “Shib’s son and BNB’s guardian.” Last night, it was up about 23% over 24 hours, with a current price of $0.0162 and $1.57 million in trading volume across 5,775 trades: 3,107 buys worth $845,000 and 2,668 sells worth $728,000, for net buying of $117,000. It has 53,100 holders, and about $2.2 million is sitting in its main KOMA/WBNB pool—up from just $139,000 at launch, a roughly 16-fold increase in two years.
The numbers all look pretty consistent, until you get to the top 10 holdings section—two different figures on the same page. The token info panel says the top 10 hold 41%, but add up the individual entries: 39.4% burned to the dead address, 21.8% held by Gate.io, 11.9% in a Binance Alpha wallet, 7.08% in the main pool, plus a few exchanges and small addresses, and it comes to 87.4%. 41% versus 87.4%—more than double, and there’s no explanation of how either figure is calculated.
The tax section doesn’t add up either: it currently shows 0% for both buys and sells, while the AI detection beside it says 5% each. The official website, meanwhile, explicitly says 0% tax, contract renounced, and LP permanently locked. With three conflicting claims, I can’t pick one on its behalf.
Market cap is another three-way split: $7.91 million on the rankings page, $16.2 million for fully diluted market cap, and $9.8 million on another price-tracking site. The total supply is 1 billion tokens, and all three agree that 39.4% has already been burned.
It’s listed for spot trading on KuCoin, Bitget, and Gate. On Binance, it’s only in the futures section.
$BNB is the other side of its main pool, and spot trading is definitely available.
For now, I’m watching two things: has that 41% figure for the top 10 changed? If it moves to around 87%, that would suggest the reporting has been standardized. And is the tax 0% or 5%? We’ll have to look at the actual fees deducted on-chain. If 41% stays up there and the three tax figures keep conflicting, just treat this as something interesting to watch—don’t take it too seriously.
Have you ever seen numbers on a rankings page contradicting themselves like this? Share an example in the comments and I’ll look into it.
