By Allah, we are astonished at some people. May Allah guide us and them. How can they be happy about earning something haram through gambling—God forbid 😔💔
.
Lately, I’ve seen some brothers sharing their profits from "futures contracts" and thanking Allah for them. And although we are happy for any Muslim’s provision, it is our duty—out of advice and brotherhood in Islam—to stop here. Gratitude should be for good, lawful provision. Futures contracts in their current system (with leverage, selling what you do not own, and containing uncertainty) are religiously prohibited by the fatwas of senior scholars and Islamic jurisprudence councils.
My brothers, Allah’s pleasure is more important than numbers on screens. What is with Allah cannot be attained through disobedience.
My advice to you—and to myself:
Avoid futures contracts: No matter how profitable and fast the gains may seem, the removal of blessing, suspicion, and falling into haram are enough to wipe out this money.
Trade in "spot" (immediate trading): Buy a lawful, legitimate currency in a real and actual way, and trade it without leverage or dubious contracts.
A little halal is better than a lot of haram: A small, blessed profit that allows a person to sleep peacefully with a clear conscience is a thousand times better than millions that come from forbidden doors.
"Indeed, you will not leave anything for Allah, Almighty, except that He will replace it with something better for you." Let us keep halal in our wealth and in the food of our children, for any body nourished by unlawful earnings deserves the Fire. We ask Allah to provide for us.
And may He provide you with halal, good provision and bless it for us.
