The harsh truth: The market doesn't create money, it just transfers it
Sometimes we get so wrapped up in charts, indicators, and analysis that we forget the most basic math rule of trading: money isn't created out of thin air here, it just changes hands. The market is a zero-sum game. If someone makes $1,000 on a trade, there has to be someone else (or a group of them) losing that same $1,000 on the other side of the screen. For you to cash in on a profit, someone has to pick up the tab for your win. It's that brutal.
The market needs losers to survive
It's an uncomfortable reality, but it's true. If we all made money at the same time, the system would collapse in five minutes because there wouldn't be enough liquidity to pay anyone.
Exchange platforms don’t pay you profits out of their own pocket; they just connect buyers with sellers. Therefore, the ecosystem needs a constant flow of people trading on impulse, panic, or euphoria. That money lost due to lack of control is what fuels the gains of traders who do have patience.
Have you ever seen the market from this cold perspective? Let's be clear here with no filters: Do you feel like you're cashing in today or financing someone else's account? I'm all ears 👇
