The hacker stole $6.3 billion, and Binance covered 98% of it out of pocket. You think this story is over?

A WSJ investigation and Chainalysis said today that THORChain processed over $46 million in stolen funds in its first 72 hours. Node operators earned over $200,000 just in fees.

Bitquery broke it down further: In the first week, $333 million flowed to money laundering and cash-out channels. $113 million went through THORChain, including $57 million in XRP and $56 million in TRON.

Elliptic’s latest figures: 2,300 BTC, worth about $175 million, have been converted. But the hacker is still sitting on 148 million XRP (about $173 million), untouched, while $3.13 billion remains in linked addresses. Not a single coin of the main BTC and ETH holdings has moved.

What really stings is the comparison: Last year, when Bybit was hacked for $1.5 billion, the hacker also laundered nearly $1 billion through THORChain, and operators pocketed $12 million just in fees. Same route, paid twice.

$XRP current price 1.16, $SOL 89.2, $BTC 7.59 ten thousand. Whales are still buying the XRP dip this week, but those 148 million coins the hacker holds are hanging over everyone’s heads.

Even better, they managed to clear out all 41 swaps related to that Binance hacker incident. And get this – it only took them 25 minutes to do it. Pretty efficient work there.

Now, it's not all chains back online just yet. ATOM, BSC, and SOL are still suspended. Apparently, some nodes on those networks need to get upgraded first.

A one-block Ethereum reorg on Oct 31 wiped a credited 10 ETH deposit, a refund bug paid it out twice over, and the network paused. On Nov 3, nodes restarted trading on 10 of 13 chains. The bounce was double-digit, but three chains — BNB Smart Chain, Cosmos Hub and Solana — were still flagged at the restart.

My lines:
Support $0.59 · Resistance $0.67 · Price near $0.62

Three ways this resolves. Hold $0.59 and close over $0.67, and the market prices a repair, not just a restart. Reject at $0.67 and chop, and the restart is real but the premium is gone. Close under $0.59, and the bounce was relief, not repair — while those three chains stay suspended and stolen-funds scrutiny follows large swaps.

I'm reading this as a restart to verify, not a recovery to chase. DYOR.
