In the latest beta version of Telegram, changes were found again related to the built-in Gram Wallet.

Now, you can only import a seed phrase if this wallet was previously created inside Telegram.

In other words, you can’t simply move an existing external wallet into Telegram anymore.

Another change: in the money transfer window, a separate field has appeared showing the network commission calculation before confirming the transfer.

At first glance, these are minor things, but it’s usually such details that get refined closer to a normal user release.

This isn’t new, but the amount is certainly eye-catching. It’s one of the largest freezes related to scams on Telegram this year. 🚦 Telegram sudden large-scale outage

Telegram suddenly experienced a large-scale outage: messages cannot be sent and content cannot be refreshed in many places.

On the morning of September 8, Telegram experienced service disruptions in multiple countries and regions. A large number of users were unable to send messages, load content, or log in normally, and some call features were also affected.

A Singapore outage report at one point neared 4,000 cases, and Malaysia and Vietnam also saw many similar incidents. In some areas, service was gradually restored afterward.

At present, there is no reliable information confirming that this outage was caused by a cyberattack.

Earlier this year, I wrote a commentary article suggesting that Telegram’s prospects looked bleak.

👀 In addition, there are connection-related outage reports from about 6 regions, where connection issues make up roughly 81%. That means some users might not be completely unable to access the app, but instead get stuck at the connection and message transmission step.

Honestly, the exact cause still isn’t clear. Telegram hasn’t provided an official explanation yet and hasn’t announced a specific time for restoration—what we’re seeing right now is only user-reported issues.
