The testnet already ran the same point in time on July 21. Is this a node operator’s workday, or can it be turned into another token-price catalyst?

First, lay out the timeline. The hard fork is named Pasteur, and mainnet clients require upgrading to BSC v1.7.7. If nodes are still running the old version at activation time, they will fall out of the canonical chain. In the configuration, you must delete the EnableBAL field in config.toml; otherwise the new version won’t start at all. Regular token holders and most DApp developers typically don’t need to do anything. What needs to be delivered are the node operators and block builders.

Permission leftovers and governance cheating surfaces are tightened.

BEP-675 changes block collaboration. Builders can submit already-executed blocks; validators check them according to the rules, then sign blindly and broadcast, while full verification is completed later. The official emphasizes that this feature doesn’t necessarily depend on the hard fork itself, but the validator-side SendBidBlock path must wait until Pasteur is activated—then open it via RPC, giving builders time to integrate. Internal testing increased throughput from about 1237 TPS to about 2324 TPS, roughly an 88% uplift. The gas limit and block interval were not changed. These figures come from controlled testing; real mainnet performance is another story.

Don’t automatically translate the hard fork into a guaranteed “go up” script. BNB’s current price is around the $604 range, and short-term trading is still choppy.
