There are several important public developments around NEAR right now that could explain the chart move.

Current Scenario is, Price is arount 4.82. 24h high is 5.066, 24h low is 4.747 and Recent major high is 5.578. There is a strong September rally from roughly 1.8 - 5.58, followed by consolidation around 4.8–5.1.

NEAR Intents suffered an exploit of approximately 3.8M on October 1. The team said the issue involved the interaction between its Omni deposit/withdrawal infrastructure and an Intents smart contract, and said the contract vulnerability was patched and affected users would be fully compensated.

A governance proposal announced October 1 proposes reducing maximum annual NEAR issuance from 2.5% to 1.6% over 24 months, with a longer-term direction toward a fixed total supply. The proposal is still a governance process, so it should not be treated as an implemented supply reduction yet. That could become an important medium-term tokenomics catalyst if approved.

Key thing to watch over the next few daily candles: whether NEAR can reclaim 5.0-5.1 with volume. If it cannot, another test of 4.75 becomes technically relevant. If 4.75 breaks decisively, I'd watch the 4.5 to 4.1 zone next rather than assuming the September rally will immediately resume.

Also, NEAR's own current roadmap continues to emphasize NEAR Intents, AI agents, chain abstraction, dynamic resharding and cross-chain infrastructure. Its Intents platform reports more than 30B in all-time volume across 35 chains.
