Futures x10 in Africa? Here’s why I stopped after 2 weeks

Guys, let’s be honest for a second.

When I started in crypto, I saw "Futures x20" on Binance. I thought it was the cheat code to turn 20$ into $400.

Result? Liquidated 3 times in 14 days. I burned 73$ USDT to learn a lesson.

**The trap of Futures x10 that nobody tells you about:**

**1. Leverage x10 = You're playing with 10x the money you don't have**
You put in $10. With x10, Binance lends you 90$ to trade $100.
If the token goes up by 1%, you gain 10%. Cool.
But if it drops by 10%... you’re LIQUIDATED. Your 10$ disappears. Game over.

**2. In Africa, volatility kills us**
BTC moving 8% in 1 hour is normal. In Futures x10, 8% = you’re dead at -80%.
I lost 30$ on $SOL just because it “breathed” -9% while I was sleeping.

**3. Fees eat you alive**
Funding fee every 8 hours. Opening fees. Closing fees.
In 2 weeks, I paid 11$ in fees for 73$ in capital. It’s robbery.

**What I’m doing now instead:**
100% Spot. I’m dollar-cost averaging (DCA) into $BTC and $BNB. 5$ per week.
It’s less sexy. It doesn’t pump x10 in 1 hour.
But in 6 months, I’m up +22%. And I sleep well at night.

**My rule:** If you have less than 1000$ in capital, NEVER touch Futures x5 or more. Learn not to lose in Spot first.
