Bitcoin has been in the red for several weeks. The hack has consequences, though many are optimistic and believe nothing happened.

But for Binance, this is the beginning of a major breach—and I’m not talking about “digital security,” but rather the hole in users’ trust.

Obviously, they have reserves, insurance, and protection for their users, but an attack like this really makes you think.

The problem isn’t so much what was stolen, how they mitigated it, or how they countered it by blocking 3 billion, etc. It’s what kind of confidence you’ll have in operating in the future—say, six months from now, when everything is back to normal. You’re trading, and suddenly a new attack happens and your positions are liquidated out of nowhere—or even just people who have savings in #BTC☀️ . The market is volatile and is heavily influenced by events like this or geopolitical events.

Binance has a lot, a lot to fix and needs to earn our trust again. I’m with them; I know they’ll recover very soon, since in my humble opinion, it’s the best platform in the world.
