Brief story: False decentralization scam 📜
The creators launch the memecoin, claiming it's totally decentralized and community-controlled, but they don’t relinquish ownership of the smart contract — they maintain total control as owners and admins.
They say things like “no one is in charge”, “code is law”, “everything is free”, but they hide the fact that they can still: change rules, increase taxes, block sales, create more tokens, halt transactions, or withdraw all liquidity from exchanges at any moment.
At first, the price pumps with community trust. When there's a lot of cash invested, they leverage the contract power: they lock withdrawals, alter fees, or pull all the funds at once. Investors are left holding tokens they can't sell, with no power to act — because control was never truly handed over, just promised.
It's a trust scam: they use the word “decentralization” as bait, but keep all the power in their hands to pull everything when it suits them.
